Old Wesley Collegians Association (OWCA) "Keeping alumni connected"
www.owca.net The Wesley family flourishes and extends far beyond the school years.

When students leave school, they become an ongoing part of our community through the Old Wesley Collegians Association (OWCA). The OWCA hosts regular functions and many alumni keep in close contact with their friends from school – even 60 and 70 years later. The OWCA is one of the strongest alumni organisations in Australia with over 20,000 members. With a thriving reunion and events program and a

large number of affiliate groups, we are proud of the strength of the support between the OWCA and the Wesley College community that exists. The Association has representatives on the College Council and many OWs have given distinguished service to the School as Council members. The OWCA also contributes annually to scholarships and provides financial assistance to certain past and present students. Every student who leaves Wesley automatically becomes a member of the OWCA. Members of staff are honorary members whilst employed by the College and some former staff members have been made Honorary Life Members in recognition of their contribution to the College. Members of the School Council and parents of past and present students, who are not Old Collegians, are considered Honorary Members of the OWCA.

Call for Applications: 2026 Artist in Residence at Wesley College, Melbourne

After the inaugural Artist in Residence Program in 2025 with Panisa Ongwat (OW2018), Wesley College is excited to invite applications from practising visual artists for this year's residency. Based at our St Kilda Road Campus (Melbourne) from 12 October to 4 December 2026 (Term 4), the Residency includes a large, private studio space, access to specialist facilities, an artist stipend starting at $3,000 and the chance to engage with students through workshops and collaborative projects.

The Residency culminates in a showcase exhibition at Wesley College Melbourne in May 2027. This is a unique opportunity to focus on your artistic practice in a supportive, creative environment while inspiring the next generation of artists.

Congratulations to Rohan Lavery (OW2018) and the Australian Men's Eight crew on their outstanding bronze medal performance at the recent 2026 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Australia claimed third place in a world-class field, finishing behind the Netherlands and Great Britain in a thrilling A-final.

Rowing in the bow seat, Rohan helped power Australia to a podium finish against the world's best. A fantastic achievement and a proud moment for the Old Wesley Collegians community, congratulations on a remarkable accomplishment!
