I have seldom faced raised eyebrows when I relish my desserts or my favourite Koko black's of classic hot chocolate - Because I apparently should be eating healthy all the time?
Whoops. Let's burst the bubble! All through my fitness journey, I have had ample favourite foods, relished things - kept in moderation and knew when to get back to my diet from the next day!

Ever heard of the quite popular yet misleading adage, "Lifting weights will turn women into a female Hulk"? Well, if you have, let me tell you right now, it's about as accurate as a horoscope found in a fortune cookie. ๐ฅ
One glimpse at their muscle-clad male pals, and many women begin to fear that hoisting weights will bestow upon them an unwanted bulk. But ladies, let me assure you, this is a myth rooted more in fiction than fact.
You see, there's a fundamental difference in how men and women build muscle. ๐ช๐ฝ It's all about testosterone - the hormone our male counterparts produce in higher quantities, giving them a leg up in the muscle-building game.
So, ladies, I hate to break it to you, but even if you wanted to, you couldn't bulk up like the guys at the gym without some serious intervention.
If you have thought that light weights are the key to long, lean muscles. But here's the truth: there's no such thing as a "long" or "lean" muscle.
Muscles are muscles, plain and simple. ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ

When you compare 5lbs of muscle to 5lbs of fat, guess what? The muscle takes up WAY less space. So, in reality, the more muscle and less fat you have, the "smaller" and more toned you'll look.
So, let's ditch the myths and embrace the strength training. After all, who wouldn't want to be stronger, leaner, and more capable in their day-to-day lives? ๐๐ฝ

Just realised, we've never had proper introduction!
I'm a mama bear to a whirlwind of a 2-year-old daughter (seriously, that girl has endless energy!), an evolving Techie and a happily married to the most amazing partner a woman could ask for, and we're all livin' it up in Melbourne! ๐ธ
Fitness has always been a huge part of my life, but after having my daughter, I knew I had to prioritize my own health again. Let me tell you, that postpartum transformation was NO joke! I dropped over 24kgs and completely revamped my lifestyle to focus on movement and healthy habits. โ๏ธ
Now, I'm all about empowering other women to achieve their fitness goals too. I'm a big believer in starting slow and building consistency โ that's why I created my 21-day Fitness challenges to get you moving and feeling great. ๐โโ๏ธ
I would hate to keep the wisdom that I practice and preach; just to myself, and hence I choose to actively create content on my social media handles on Nutrition and Strength training ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ, because why not!

Who says you canโt have your cake (or pizza, or tacos) and eat it too? (Literally, in this case! )
Iโm living proof that you can fuel your body with delicious, real food, train hard 4 times a week, and still see amazing results.
But hereโs the secret: itโs not just about the food or the workouts. Itโs about the mindset shift. My mind used to be in charge, telling me to skip the gym, grab another slice, and hit snooze.
Now? My mind works for me. It reminds me of the goals Iโve set, the progress Iโve made, and the feeling of accomplishment that comes from pushing myself. Itโs become my internal cheerleader, not my drill sergeant.
So, ditch the restrictive diets and the punishing workouts. Find what works for YOU, and let your mind be the fuel that drives your body to success.
