Today we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice and service of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served our nations. ANZAC Day reminds us of the strength of community, the importance of remembrance, and the legacy of those who gave so much.
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old,
Ages shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.

Today, we celebrate the rich history, resilience, and cultural pride that Greek Independence Day represents. It is a time to reflect on the enduring spirit of freedom and the perseverance shown in keeping the Greek language and culture alive—traditions passed down by our forefathers and embraced within our School community.
We are incredibly proud of our students and staff who represented Alphington Grammar School with dignity at the Greek National Day Parade at the Shrine of Remembrance on Sunday, 22 March. Their participation highlights the heritage on which our School was founded and the unity that brings our diverse community together.
Thank you to everyone who marched, supported, and celebrated this meaningful day. Cultural celebrations like this connect us, inspire us, and keep our stories alive.

On Monday 9 February, Alphington Grammar School proudly celebrated the academic achievements of our high‑performing Class of 2025 at the annual Scholars Assembly. Dr Vivianne Nikou welcomed our keynote speaker, Krista Maglen, Campus Dean of ACU, along with our distinguished scholars and their families.
In her address, Dr Nikou highlighted the exceptional dedication demonstrated by this cohort, noting that “the results of the Class of 2025 are a testament to the hard work and commitment to excel by those students. By any measure, the Class of 2025 have shown that hard work brings its own rewards.”
