Fr Fidel reminded confreres that true communication begins with strong community bonds and an authentic Salesian spirit. Living this unity allows them to better share the gospel with the young people we serve, both in person and online.

COLOMBIA EARTHQAUKE APPEAL

On Monday 10 August, a powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, causing widespread devastation. More than 55% of Don Bosco works in the affected region have been impacted, affecting communities that rely on these schools and community services every day. Local Salesians are already on the ground providing support, care and hope where it is needed most.

Australia – Ordinazione diaconale dei salesiani Foua Junior Tea Peato e Sitagisilao Moeloa Vaipuna

(ANS – Melbourne) – Il 25 luglio 2026 la chiesa di San Giuseppe a Collingwood ha accolto con grande gioia l’ordinazione diaconale dei salesiani Foua Junior Tea Peato e Sitagisilao Moeloa Vaipuna, una tappa significativa del loro cammino vocazionale e del loro impegno al servizio della Chiesa. Alla celebrazione hanno partecipato familiari, amici, parrocchiani e numerosi membri della Comunità Salesiana. La Santa Messa è stata presieduta da Mons. Thinh Xuan Nguyen, vescovo ausiliare dell’Arcidiocesi di Melbourne, concelebrata da don Peter Hoang, Superiore dell’Ispettoria salesiana dell’Australia-Pacifico (AUL), insieme ad altri sacerdoti e diaconi.

The ordination Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Thinh Xuan Nguyen (Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Melbourne).
