This month, our preschool children are exploring the fascinating world of creepy crawlies and the life cycle of a butterfly! 🐛🦋 They even helped build a bug hotel and shared their ideas for what to put inside. We're excited to go bug hunting and observe them on our next bushkinder adventure! 🐞🐜

This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating Book Week. Among the stories we shared in our Preschool class, this particular one is a favorite among both the children and educators. The children were remarkably engaged and listened to the story with great attention. Some even anticipated and completed sentences before the teacher could read them aloud. Books play a crucial role in a child's language, literacy, social, emotional and cognitive development.

Ever had one of those "What should I be doing with my child?" moments? You might already have the answer at home.

Earlier this year, every Goodstart family received a What & When for Families guide for each child. If it's been tucked away in a drawer since then, now might be the perfect time to pull it back out.

📚✨ Book Week at Goodstart Lynbrook ✨📚

We’ve had a wonderful start to Book Week, with our children and educators coming together to celebrate the joy of books and storytelling. 💕📖

Through shared stories, creative experiences and favourite characters, the children have been exploring their imaginations and developing a love for reading in a warm and engaging environment.

It has been lovely to see the excitement, curiosity and smiles that books can bring. 🌈✨

We look forward to continuing our Book Week celebrations and creating more special memories together!

Science Week | 17th–21st August

We celebrated Science Week throughout our centre. The children participated in fun, educational activities and enjoyed learning about early science concepts through hands-on experiences and exploration.

It was wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning throughout the week! 🌱🔍✨

🌿 Bush Kinder Adventures! 🌿

Our preschool children embraced the great outdoors during Bush Kinder! 🌳🍃

They explored nature, connected with their environment, developed confidence and independence, and enjoyed learning through play and discovery. 🌱🪵

💛 Body Safety Education in 3-Year-Old Kindergarten

This month, we explored body safety and personal boundaries through intentional teaching, ageappropriate conversations, stories and role play.

The children learned that their bodies belong to them, how to respect others’ personal space, and that it is okay to say “No,” “Stop,” or “I don’t like that.” We also talked about trusted adults and the importance of speaking up when something doesn’t feel right.

These meaningful experiences help build children’s confidence, independence, agency and understanding of safe and respectful relationships. 🌱💛
