🏃♀️Year 3 - 6 Athletics Day 🏃♂️
What a fantastic day at our Tarneit Campus for the Year 3–6 Athletics Day last Friday!
It was wonderful to bring together students from both our Derrimut Heath and Tarneit campuses for a day filled with participation, teamwork and fun. Throughout the day, students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, encouraging and cheering on their peers while giving their best effort in every event.
We were proud to see our college values of Respect, Resilience, Endeavour and Integrity on display, both on and off the track. Whether competing, supporting teammates or trying something new, our students represented Baden Powell College with pride.
A big thank you to our staff and families who helped make the day such a success. Well done to all students on a fantastic Athletics Day!

This week, we proudly celebrate Samoan Language Week and recognise the rich culture, language, traditions and contributions of our Samoan community.
At Baden Powell College, we are fortunate to have many students, families and staff who bring Samoan culture to life within our school. Samoan Language Week provides an opportunity for us all to learn, connect and celebrate the values of family, respect, service and community that are at the heart of Samoan culture.
To our Samoan families and community members, fa'afetai tele lava for the important role you play in making our school such a vibrant and inclusive place to learn and grow.

National Reconciliation Week 2026
Australians come together to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to reflect on how we can all contribute to reconciliation in Australia.
This important week recognises two significant dates in Australia’s history:
27 May – the 1967 Referendum
3 June – the Mabo Decision
National Reconciliation Week is an opportunity for our school community to learn, reflect and grow together as we acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners of this land.
Throughout the week, students will participate in activities and discussions that promote understanding, respect and unity.
