Our Preps enjoyed being very creative while designing and making their own shape monsters πΎβ¨
Students used a variety of shapes, colours, and ideas to bring their monsters to life, showing fantastic imagination while building their understanding of geometry in a fun way.
Such a joyful and creative learning experience for our Preps! π

A beautiful Eucharist celebration held at St Andrewβs βοΈ
Our community came together in prayer, reflection, and gratitude, sharing a meaningful and peaceful celebration of faith. It was a special moment to pause and be reminded of the importance of belonging, love, and connection within our parish and school community.
We are grateful for the reverence and participation shown, and for the many hands that helped prepare and lead this special celebration.
Thank you to our families and parish community for your ongoing support. May the spirit of this Eucharist continue to guide and inspire us in the week ahead. π

What an incredible few days our Year 5/6 students have had at Arrabri Lodge, East Warburton! πΏποΈ
From challenging themselves on exciting activities to building friendships, showing resilience, and creating lifelong memories, our students embraced every opportunity camp had to offer.
We are so proud of the way they stepped outside their comfort zones, supported one another, and represented St Andrew's with enthusiasm, kindness, and courage.
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff for their care and commitment, and to our families for supporting this wonderful experience.
The laughter, teamwork, campfire memories, and shared adventures will be talked about for years to come!
Well done, Year 5/6 β you made us proud. ππ
This week, our Prep students have been busy building their number confidence!βοΈ
They have been learning to count forwards and backwards to 20, using a range of hands-on materials to create and count collections. These concrete learning experiences are helping students strengthen their understanding of numbers and develop confidence with early maths skills. πππ
ββ‘οΈHands-on Science: Electricity in Year 5/6! π
Students explore the exciting world of electricity through hands-on investigations. They will build, test and troubleshoot their own electrical circuits using batteries, switches, globes and motors while learning how electricity flows.
Through practical experiments, students will discover how circuit components work together, how energy can be transformed, and the difference between electrical conductors and insulators. Theyβll think like scientists as they predict, problem-solve and see their ideas come to life! β‘π

π§ͺ𧫠Our Year 3/4 students have been loving their Physical Science lessons - exploring the properties of different materials and investigating which are effective conductors and insulators of heat. They even had to create a solution that could slow down the melting of an ice block!
Working collaboratively, they planned, tested and evaluated their designs, using their scientific understanding to explain the reasoning behind their choices. It's been fantastic to see so much creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving in action! ππ

ππ· Exploring the World of 3D Shapes!
Our Year 5/6 students have been busy investigating the fascinating world of 3D objects! From folding nets into solid shapes to exploring the different cross-sections hidden within them, students have been developing their spatial reasoning and mathematical thinking through hands-on learning.
It has been wonderful to see creativity, curiosity, and collaboration on display as students tested ideas, made discoveries, and deepened their understanding of geometry in engaging and meaningful ways.
Learning comes to life when students can build, explore, and investigateβand our Year 5/6 mathematicians have certainly risen to the challenge! π
