Our imaginations will take us away,
To magical worlds where we can all play.

💤 Pyjama Week 💤

From 20th July to 24th July, we celebrated Pyjama Week!

The children enjoyed coming to care in their favourite pyjamas and taking part in fun craft activities throughout the week.

Pyjama Week helps raise awareness and support for children living in foster care. We are proud to share that together we raised $137 for The Pyjama Foundation. 💙

A huge thank you to our amazing families for your generosity and support. Your contributions will help make a positive difference in the lives of children in foster care.

🎭✨ Another Magical Nursery Show! ✨🎭

The creativity keeps shining in our Nursery Room!

Our wonderful Room Leader Kayla and the Nursery educators once again transformed the learning
environment into a magical theatre experience, delighting the children with another engaging puppet
show. Using a beautifully created stage, colourful props, and interactive storytelling, the show captured
the children's curiosity and encouraged active participation.

These special experiences help foster language development, imagination, communication skills, and a love of storytelling from an early age. The children were captivated as the story came to life before their
eyes, creating moments of wonder, laughter, and learning.

We are incredibly proud of Kayla and the Nursery team for going above and beyond to create meaningful and memorable experiences for our youngest learners. Their passion, creativity, and dedication ensure that every day is filled with opportunities for children to explore, discover, and learn through play.

🌿🖤💛❤️ Celebrating NAIDOC Week❤️💛🖤🌿

Last week, we celebrated NAIDOC Week, our children and educators came together to create a special artwork featuring 50 handprints, proudly symbolising 50 years of NAIDOC Week.

Each handprint represents a year of celebrating culture, strength, resilience, and community. Together, the hands form a powerful circle, reflecting the many voices, stories, and generations that have contributed to this incredible journey.

Fifty Years of Deadly is a tribute to the Elders who stood firm, the organisers who created space, the artists who transformed resistance into expression, and the communities who continue to show up year after year. NAIDOC has always been more than a week, it's a platform, a celebration, a statement of survival, and a recognition of the strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Through our learning spaces, Indigenous stories, natural resources, and collaborative artwork, children have been exploring the importance of culture, connection to Country, and the rich histories and achievements of First Nations peoples.

As we celebrate this significant milestone, we honour the past, recognise the strength and leadership of today, and look forward to the future, a future where young people grow up proud in culture, language continues to thrive, and communities continue leading change.

Our 50 handprints remind us that every voice matters, every story contributes to the journey, and together we carry forward a legacy that is still deadly, always.

👩‍🍳 Meet our Centre Cook – Thivara! 🌿✨

We are excited to showcase our amazing Centre Cook, Thivara, who plays such an important role in supporting the health, wellbeing and learning of our children through nutritious and delicious meals each day. 💛

Our centre recipe book celebrates the meals prepared with care, ensuring children are provided with a variety of healthy, balanced and enjoyable food experiences. From planning menus to creating meals that support children’s growing bodies, Thivara helps make mealtimes a positive and meaningful part of our day. 🍎🥕🥣

We have copies of our recipes available for families to take home and recreate. Sometimes children enjoy a meal or snack so much while they are at the centre that they ask for it at home too! Sharing these recipes helps families continue these positive food experiences and supports children who may be more adventurous with their eating while in care. 💕

Thank you, Thivara, for the passion, creativity and care you bring into our kitchen every day. We appreciate the important role you play in creating positive mealtimes and being such a valued part of our centre community. 💙

🚒 Toddler Room Fire Truck🚒

Our toddlers have been busy exploring their creativity and imagination as they transformed cardboard boxes into an exciting fire truck!

The children worked together to paint the boxes bright red, developing their fine motor skills and expressing themselves through art. They then helped add wheels and a steering wheel, bringing their fire truck to life and inspiring lots of imaginative play.

Through this hands-on project, children practiced teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and creative thinking while having lots of fun.

We are proudly celebrating Reconciliation Week and exploring what it means to be “All In.” ❤️🖤💛

Educators and children have been engaging in meaningful discussions about respect — for each other, for our environment, and for the cultures and stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Through art experiences, storytelling, group conversations, nature play, and hands-on learning opportunities, children have been sharing their ideas about kindness, inclusion, caring for Country, and working together. These experiences help build a deeper understanding of connection, belonging, and respect within our community.

We are so proud of the thoughtful conversations taking place across our learning environments as children learn that even small actions can help create a brighter and more inclusive future for everyone.
