our recent activities May 2023
Lantern Walk/Mother's Day Celebration,
Children presented their gifts to their Mums, enjoyed story telling, many culture food parents brought in, walking into park wih our lanterns shining, its a lovely community gathering children had a lot of fun!
Craft work, 7th of July, parents gathered for making resting time toys, knotted dots for children. All parents are encouraged to make a doll for children, hand made toys are important for children.
Park Excursion, 12th July children went to park for our term 2 excursion, weather is beautiful, childen enjoyed, morning circle, up hill and down hill play, Jack is in the box play, morning tea time, playing with tree trucks and all equipment in the Park. The children had a restful and joyful time in 2 hours. 3 parents participated in our community work.

I hope this post can reach some parents. Happy Easter to all! Our children enjoyed Easter Activities, they enjoyed drawing Easter bunnies, eggs, making Easter Cards with leaf rubbing, water painting and drawings. They helped make Easter Egg Shell baskets by paper mache with pasting, cutting eggs, and making handles. Our children also enjoyed Easter Stories.
Last week, our children enjoyed the Term One Park Excursion which many graduates participated in, they loved Autumn treasure hunts, egg hunting, morning tea time and morning circle held in the Park. We really appreciate that some families attended!

Wonder World Play Centre runs nature based and Steiner Inspired Childcare and kindergarten programs for 3-5 years old children in Preston.
Our environment is spacious with diverse plants, trees including 6 different types of fruit trees.
Children play in Mud Patch, Mud Kitchen and help gardening each day, enjoying observing seasonal phenomenon.
Our environment is home like. Children's daily routine is rhythmic, including music, story time, art work, and participating in domestic helping activities. Our toys and play materials are handmade with natural materials.

We have vacancies for 2022 and welcome parents visiting our Centre at 9:00 or 11:00am.

We welcomed 2022, our children enjoyed learning Aboriginal cultures, Chinese culture, helping gardening, cooking, camp play, mud play, making fire to cook marshmallow, bike and scooter riding and made a trip to Preston Market to support Darebin Council Project, aiming to protect Preston Market for over development. Our garden refreshed after end of year break, we harvested few zucchinis, some tomatoes, corns, potatoes, we planted some capsicums and growing well, beetroots. Our children took care of their garden with educators, see how vegetables grow each day and our apples dropped a lot on the ground and our children started picking apples, eating them and we make apple pie last week. Our garden always has flowers blooming! We welcome parents to visit us, our beautiful nature environment, a place children can enjoy and connect with natural world! Thank you! 15/02/2022

We are going to open as normal from 5th Nov. and welcome all children to return.
We like to share few photos, our garden and children's art work, glass drawing for our father's activity and families collected all recycle glasses for the activity, recent butterflies painting, used gentle water colors, our beautiful apple tree blossom and flowers in our garden, enjoy! Amazing nature!

Spring is almost here, our children have enjoyed Mud play in play ground, making chocolate, soup, cake, have been busy for spring program to get their compost ready for our garden, as well as busy with their father's day activities, making cards, candles, drawing on glass jars for candle holders. We will say goodbye to Winter in few days and welcome Spring!

Wonder World Play Centre children enjoyed the end of year celebration, each child sang a song at the concert, then we made fire and children cooked marshmallows, Children helped prepare their Lunch, dumplings, spring rolls and pizza. After the rest time, Santa was presented with presents, the children were so excited to see Santa, they asked some questions and received a present from Santa, everyone believed that Santa is great and real.
