National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in Australia.
This year’s theme, “All In”, is a call for every Australian to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation, not just this week, but every single day.
All the activity details are in the captions, swipe through the photos for a little inspo!👇

🍃 Nature Loose Parts Sensory Tray
Collect natural materials from your backyard or local park like leaves, bark, stones, shells and seeds. Let little ones explore freely through touch and smell
🌍 Earthy Playdough in Ochre Colours
Make homemade playdough in red, yellow and brown. Add natural loose parts like seeds and leaves for texture and encourage children to create their own patterns
🍂 Bark and Stick Nature Art
Collect sticks and strips of bark or leaves from outside and help children decorate and weave them together.
🐚 Reconciliation Treasure Basket
Fill a basket with natural items like shells, seeds, smooth stones and wooden objects. For older children, use each item as a prompt to talk about Country, culture and respect.

We know access to some of these materials might be limited and that is completely okay! You could also try googling native Australian ingredients and materials together with the children and having a conversation about what they are, where they come from and why they are significant to First Nations peoples.

"1 in 5 mothers experience perinatal anxiety or depression. Most don't ask for help"

Not because they don't need it, but because the pressure to "enjoy every moment" makes it hard to admit when those moments feel anything but enjoyable.

Perinatal anxiety and depression are among the most common complications of pregnancy and early parenthood. Yet they remain widely underdiscussed and undersupported.

Here's what we know:
→ Symptoms can begin during pregnancy, not just after birth
→ It affects mothers across all backgrounds and circumstances
→ Early support makes a significant difference in recovery
→ Having reliable, trusted help at home is one of the most practical steps a family can take

As long-time supporters of PANDA (Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia), we are proud to stand behind the vital work they do for mothers and families across the country. If you or someone you know may be struggling, their free checklist is a gentle and confidential first step.

💻 Take the PANDA checklist: www.panda.org.au/checklists
📞 PANDA Helpline: 1300 726 306 (Mon–Sat)

Because getting support isn't a sign of weakness. It's one of the most important things a mother can do, for herself and her family. 💚
