Let's talk about A.S.S.S.
The corporate neurodiversity conversation is a farce. Autistic adults are 140% more productive in the right roles yet face 80% underemployment.
We're calling the bluff.
The A.S. Social Skills Scholarship (ASSS) is here. No strings attached. No means testing. Just pure, unadulterated support.
This is for you if:
✅ You don't have NDIS funding.
✅ You're in a regional/remote area.
✅ You're done being told to "act more neurotypical."
We give you the tools to architect your own system. To reframe your "sensitivity" as sensory intelligence and your "rigidity" as integrity.
Stop begging for a seat at a broken table. It's time to build a better one.
Your blueprint starts here. Applications are open.

Too often, autistic adults are systemically denied the full spectrum of human pleasure—and that explicitly includes our s*xuality and our right to experience or**sm.
A climate of fear, protectionism, and deep-seated misunderstanding limits the broader perception of autistic adults. We are often infantilized, viewed only through a lens of vulnerability, or our s*xuality is pathologised as a "behaviour" to be managed.
But what is the real-world cost when we fail to nurture these innate human desires?
We don't just deny pleasure. We actively undermine well-being.
Pleasure is not a luxury; it is a component of health. It is regulatory for the nervous system, a source of connection, and a profound affirmation of self. When we build support systems that ignore this, we are building half a person. We are saying, "We want you to be safe, but not necessarily to live."
At A.S. Social, we believe that supporting autistic adults means championing their agency in all aspects of life—including the deeply personal landscape of desire and pleasure. It's time to move beyond a risk-averse framework and toward one that embraces the full, complex, and vibrant humanity of the people we serve.
Because a life without the freedom to explore pleasure is a life half-lived.

The Sensory Bedroom: Why S*x is the Ultimate Autistic Sensory Experience (And No One's Talking About It) Because here's the dirty little secret nobody tells you at diagnosis: s*x is the ultimate sensory experience.
Let's be absolutely fu***ng clear: The NDIS isn't "unsustainable." It is a calculated, financially-driven eugenics program disguised as benevolence, and autistic people are its primary target.
They didn't miscalculate. They lied. The 2016 projections that coldly estimated we'd be 40% of participants weren't a warning they heeded; they were a business plan they executed. Autism is now the scheme's largest cohort not by accident, but because their world creates us, disables us, and then refuses to accommodate us. The system's response to its own accurate prediction? Not support, but a vicious, deliberate strategy of "increasingly restrictive access" and a propaganda campaign branding our existence as a "financial crisis". They let the budget balloon from $34 billion to $61 billion to let the therapy industrial complex get fat, and then they pointed at us and screamed "LOOK AT THE COST!" The solution? Slash growth targets and gaslight us into believing our needs are the problem. By 2025, we will be 44% of participants – a monument to their failure to create a world we can live in, framed as our failure to be less expensive.
Then comes the torture-for-profit. A staggering 30-50%(highest expenditure 70%), of your plan is legally funneled into the pockets of OT and Speech Pathology Himmler's. This is not therapy. This is a $232.99-per-hour conversion therapy program designed to condition us to be inadequate and perpetually in pain. Its stated goal? "Normalization rather than functional accommodation". Its result? To teach us to mimic a neurotypical reality so they never have to lift a finger to change it. The "evidence of functional improvement" is not just "mixed" – it is a lie sold to our parents and paid for with our time, our minds and our life. They aren't building skills; they are building a cage of compliance.
Charged for the privilege of our own “agency”. You must pay 5-20% of your plan for "Support Coordination" – a parasitic industry that exists solely to help you navigate systems, channels, funds *spoiler* it doesn't even do that! Redundant, non-existent coordination.
Then public lynching. The Australian media, acting as the government's attack dogs, is being weaponized to transform us from human beings into a "financial burden". We are not people; we are a line item. We are "threats to the viability of a cherished national institution". Our right to exist is debated on morning television by people who wouldn't know an autistic person if they bit them (literally) on their morally righteous ass.
And our humanity? Our s*xuality? A scandal. When we dare to need education on consent,on relationships, on our own bodies – things we inherently"lack" due to the oppression & intellectual infantilisation from decades past – they call it "prostitution". The next headline - bemoans our social deficits vilifies us for seeking the "role play" and "social scripting" they prescribe. This isn't hypocrisy; it is sa**sm. It reveals the truth: they don't want us to learn. They want us to be dependent, to believe the narrative they have written.
A.S. We are proud of our unregistered status. We focus on improving QoL, building skills that last a lifetime and that you don't have to pay for until you die.
Our existence will not be reduced to pathology and government expenditure… F*CK YOU NDIS!
The NDIS is not broken. It is functioning perfectly as the oppressive, resource-hoarding system it was designed to be.
We see you. We name you. And we are coming for the freedom you deny us.
For autistic individuals, saying "no" is so much more than a simple refusal. It's a vital tool for self-preservation, a boundary set against overwhelm, and a profound act of reclaiming agency in a world that often denies it.
Our latest blog on A.S. Social delves into why "no" can be a complete sentence and how it's rooted in:
🔍An internal audit of our energy (spoon theory in action!)
🔍Anticipating sensory environments to avoid overload
🔍The deep trust of being able to unmask with a "safe person"
This isn't about being difficult—it's about building a sustainable, authentic life. It's about saying "no" to what drains us so we can offer a genuine "yes" to what truly matters.
We break down the communication research, the psychology behind boundaries, and why honouring an autistic "no" is the ultimate form of allyship.
Read the full piece and learn how to reframe "no" as a foundation for healthier relationships and well-being.

As su***de statistics resurge and buzzwords like 'burnout' dominate conversations, autistic individuals recognise these phenomena all too intimately - not as trends, but as the inevitable cost of existing in a world that demands success (whatever that may mean).
This is why we found it necessary to share our founder's uncensored experience.
No solutions. No lies. Just the dark, and whoever’s left standing in it.
You know the script. | Sam Wall You know the script. The world demands performance—grind, hustle, *live*. When autistic people talk to each other, research shows our comms protocol works flawlessly. The so-called "deficit" only crashes when forced to interface with neurotypical social bloatware – where we’re expected to:
+ Compile decades of unspoken NT social scripts
+ Buffer endless small-talk payloads
+ Simulate eye contact like some kind of organic CAPTCHA
And the system requirements for this masking? A catastrophic drain on our mental health RAM: 40% increased burnout risk, depression processes running in background, and suicidality rates spiking like an overheating CPU.
Funny how nobody calls NT communication "disordered" when they:
+ Bury requests in 12 layers of subtext ("per my last email" is just corporate passive aggression)
+ Prioritise tone policing over actual data transfer
+ Literally invented "watercooler talk" as a productivity sinkhole
The diagnostic manual never mentions that social impairment.
Autistic Communication Isn’t Broken—It’s a Neurotypical Compatibility Issue The verdict is in: autistic communication isn’t broken—it’s optimized for different parameters.

Autism 'social myths' exist to protect NT comfort—not us. Our silence isn’t emptiness, our honesty isn’t rude, and our love isn’t childish. You call it 'too much' when what you mean is 'I don’t want to meet you there.'
The problem was never our communication. It’s your addiction to ease. Join A.S. Social and embrace the uncomfortable, the weird, and yourself.
Did you know that the legal minimum wage for people with disabilities under the Supported Wage System (SWS) in Australia can be as low as $2.90 an hour?
Disabled Australians face among the worst legally sanctioned wage gaps in wealthy nations, with many earning under $8 an hour on the Supported Wage System—a policy abolished in most comparable countries.
