Congrats Nina!
Geelong Grammar School Old Geelong Grammarians APS Sport Rep Capt.
The Geelong Cats have announced Nina Morrison (A'18) will be Co-Captain for the 2026 Season.
Nina was drafted at pick No. 1 ahead of the Cat's inaugural season, and served as Vice-Captain since 2022. Her appointment as Co-Captain follows consecutive standout seasons in the blue and white.
Claiming the Club’s 2024 best and fairest and finishing runner-up in 2025, last year marked the fourth consecutive podium finish for Nina in Geelong’s AFLW best and fairest. Nina averaged 20.3 disposals and 2.7 clearances per game across the 2025 season, building on the form that saw her named in the All-Australian squad in 2024.
“It’s such an honour to lead this group and to represent this Club," Nina said. "There is a real freshness and energy about the group right now, and I’m excited to keep building that sense of belief for the year ahead alongside Becky [Webster, Co-Captain]”.

A huge congratulations to Ashton (Year 7), selected for the Under 12 School Sport Victoria AFL team! Chosen from more than 1,000 talented players across Metro and Country zones, Ashton will head to Canberra in August to compete at the national level – a fantastic first-time achievement.
Ashton’s been playing footy since he was seven, first with the Richmond Junior Football Club and now with Hawthorn Citizens Junior Football Club. He loves his footy and draws inspiration from our very own Toby Greene (OW2011).
We’re all cheering you on, Ashton!
