The Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) is a strategic initiative of Creative Australia, to showcase Australian and Aotearoa/New Zealand contemporary dance, theatre, music, emerging and experimental arts, nationally and internationally.

25/05/2026

It was a privilege to host you all in Boorloo/Perth this February for the Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM).

We heard pitches from artists across Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand, listened to provocations and keynotes from leading minds across the live performance sector, networked from morning coffees to late night hang outs and spent the week grounded in culture, exchange and connection, supported by our Traditional Owners in residence.

Thank you for being part of APAM 2026 and for contributing to our international arts community. We hope you had the opportunity to discover new work, exchange ideas and build meaningful relationships.

We look forward to welcoming you back in 2028.

On day 4 we headed to Fremantle! 🏖️

Between sector gatherings and live pitches and showcases we made time for a spot of networking in the evening breeze at Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre.

We're over halfway...Day 3 led with pitches and finished with our APAM Debate: The art comes before the audience.

We networked with cultural leaders from Southeast Asia and invited companies to share their work in the APAM Market Hall.

Day 4 begins...

Day 2 down, 3 more to go...

Yesterday saw us lead a massive day of pitching and showcasing followed by an afternoon of conversations, workshops and networking, closing out the evening with a special performance of Lè Nør [the rain] from The Last Great Hunt.

Thank you to all of our incredible artists who pitched yesterday.

Now...time for Day 3!
