The Mount Martha Public Golf Course has 18 holes of lush, irrigated, couch fairways await golfers of all standards, fully stocked proshop and licensed bar. With a family friendly atmosphere our Golf Course invites social groups, the beginner, the pro and everyone in between to make the most of affordable green fees and season memberships.

I had the honour of running a breathwork session at Mount Martha Public Golf Course last night, and it was nothing short of magical.

Huge thanks to Pete, Lyle and the team at Mount Martha Public Golf Course for making it happen.

Being able to do this on the course was something special. The whole session was tailored to golf: we talked through the real pain points golfers face, the way the nervous system shapes every shot, and finished with a meditation to empower everyone to walk away ready to play their best golf.

And the evening itself? After rain all morning, the sky cleared just for us and the sun came out, honestly such a blessing. 🌿

Grateful doesn't quite cover it. ✨

Why We Remove Dew from the Greens Each Morning

If you’ve ever been out early at Mount Martha Public Golf Course, you may have noticed the ground staff dragging hoses, ropes, or switching poles across the greens before most golfers arrive.

It might look simple — but it plays a major role in turf health and course presentation.

Morning dew creates prolonged moisture on the leaf surface of the turf. While it looks great in photos, too much surface moisture can quickly increase the risk of turf diseases such as dollar spot and fungal outbreaks, particularly during changing temperatures and humid conditions.

By physically removing dew each morning, our team helps:

Reduce disease pressure naturally
Improve air movement and leaf dryness
Promote healthier, stronger turf
Reduce reliance on chemical applications
Create smoother, faster and more consistent putting surfaces
Improve overall green presentation for golfers

It’s one of those small maintenance practices most golfers never see — but it makes a significant difference over time.

Great turf conditions are rarely achieved through one big thing. They come from hundreds of small, consistent tasks carried out daily by the ground staff team.
