🚀 It's been a busy few weeks for the AI Ally Team, and we're thrilled to see our work gaining traction internationally!

🌍 A few weeks ago, Dr. Lucy Sparrow took to the stage at the CHI PLAY Conference in Finland. They shared insights into their work on the GAIM Project, which received an honourable mention and even got a shout-out from keynote speaker Constance Steinkuehler.

📣 Over at the Bandung International Conference for Cultural Studies, The AI Ally Project got a special mention in Prof. Natalya Lusty's keynote speech.

🎙️ Back home in Naarm, Dr Eduardo Oliveira was interviewed by Triple R. He spoke about how AI Moderation Tools like AI Ally can help combat toxicity, hate, and harassment in online spaces.

We are very proud to share with you some of the preliminary findings from our AI Ally Recruitment survey.

Our survey has revealed that online harassment is, unfortunately, a daily reality for many people.

But here’s the good news: These insights are extremely helpful and have given us a good idea about what AI Ally should look like.

🎊Huge congratulations are in order for two of our incredible AI Ally Team members- Dr Mahli-Ann Butt and Dr Lucy Sparrow, for the launch of MAGPIE (Melbourne Academic Games, Play, and Interactive Entertainment), a new interdisciplinary research initiative at The University of Melbourne.

Last week, ‘The Future of Gaming: MAGPIE Launch’ showcased innovative games research through poster presentations by researchers and postgraduate students, offering exciting insights into the future of gaming. Great work everyone!
