All In: Connecting Through Country and Community
As part of our Reconciliation Week participation, children, families, educators, and our kitchen team came together for a shared βAll Inβ experience. Using recycled fabrics and natural crayons, each room contributed to a collaborative Australian map representing the 7 states and territories.
Children explored colour and mark-making in small groups, showing curiosity, focus, and growing confidence as they created alongside peers, educators, and teachers. Some children engaged immediately with enthusiasm, while others observed and gradually joined in, supported through gentle encouragement and shared connections.
This experience reflected our collective commitment to being βAll Inββcoming together with respect, listening, and understanding. It supported children to begin building early connections to Country, community, and reconciliation through meaningful, shared participation.

Exploring Country, Culture & Creativity in Reconciliation Week
The children made recycled paper and used it in creative art experiences, including making maps and exploring their ideas and stories. Through these experiences, they reflected on caring for Country and showing respect for the land and environment.
π€ Together, we acknowledged Country and deepened our understanding of culture, community, and sustainability. These meaningful experiences supported our celebration of Reconciliation Week through creativity, connection, and shared learning.
As part of Reconciliation Week, our preschool children respectfully participated in an Acknowledgement of Country and engaged with the Torres Strait Islander song Taba Naba. Through music, movement, and shared learning experiences, the children developed an appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, traditions, and connection to Country. β€οΈπ€π ππ

Our preschool children have been thoroughly engaged in hospital pretend play, taking on roles such as doctors, nurses, and patients with authentic medical equipment. They recreate hospital scenarios, showcasing empathy and compassion for each other. This interactive experience enables the children to express their ideas confidently, pretending to write prescriptions, check temperatures, analyze X-rays, and collaborate to find solutions. The pretend play setting fosters rich conversations, imagination, teamwork, and early literacy development in an enjoyable way.
