This week’s Saturday Reset strength is Spirituality

Not necessarily religion.

Spirituality can be the practice of reconnecting with what gives your life meaning, purpose and direction.

And social prescribing reminds us that wellbeing can be supported through everyday actions.

Movement that brings you back into your body.
Service that connects you to something beyond yourself.
Nature that helps you feel grounded.
Belonging that reminds you you’re not alone.
Art that gives your inner world somewhere to go.

Sometimes spirituality is not found in a big life-changing moment.

Sometimes it is found in a slow breath.
A quiet walk.
A meaningful conversation.
A moment of stillness.
A choice that feels aligned with who you want to be.

This week, ask yourself:

What helps me feel grounded, connected and aligned?

Start there.

Here’s a strong Instagram caption for it:

This week’s Saturday Reset strength is **Self-Regulation**.

And no, self-regulation is not just “stay calm” energy.

It is the ability to notice what is happening inside you before it spills out onto everyone else.

Because one dysregulated moment can change the temperature of a whole room.

A conversation.
A classroom.
A staffroom.
A family dinner.
A checkout line.
An email thread that absolutely should have stayed in drafts.

But social prescribing reminds us that wellbeing does not only happen in our heads.

Sometimes regulation starts with what we do.

Movement to discharge stress.
Service to respond with care instead of reaction.
Nature to help the nervous system settle.
Belonging to feel safe enough to soften.
Art to give emotions somewhere to go.

This week, practise one small self-regulation reset each day.

Breathe.
Move.
Step outside.
Listen fully.
Create before you react.

Self-regulation is not about becoming emotionless.

It is about creating enough space to choose your next move.

This week’s reset:

**Regulate before you detonate.**

Teachers, this one is for you.
For the days you feel like no one is listening.
For the moments where your words feel like they bounce off the walls.
For the times you wonder whether any of it is actually landing.
It is.
Maybe not straight away.
Maybe not with applause.
Maybe not with the acknowledgement you deserve.
But your words stay with people.
Most of us can still remember something a teacher said to us.
A challenge.
A belief.
A correction.
A moment of wisdom.
Sometimes even a sentence that changed how we saw ourselves.
That is the power of teaching.
Your impact often arrives years later, quietly, in the lives of people who may never come back and tell you.
But here’s the part I keep coming back to:
If your words are powerful enough to stay with others, when was the last time you listened to yourself?
Your exhaustion.
Your frustration.
That quiet voice saying, “I can’t keep doing it this way.”
Teachers are always listening for what everyone else needs.
Maybe it’s time to listen to what you need, too.

Trees don’t compare themselves to the forest around them. They don’t rush their growth or question their worth.
They simply grow — quietly, consistently, in their own time. 🕰️

We’re different 👭👨🏿‍🤝‍👨🏻👫🏾
We compare. 🔍
We measure. 📏
We get in our own way. 🛑 And in doing that, we can lose sight of the roots that actually sustain us.

🌱 Growth isn’t about looking like the tallest tree🌲
It’s about staying connected to what grounds you — and growing from there.
Just be. 🌿

When life gets messy…pause before you spiral.

Ask yourself:

Is it happening right now?

Is it directly affecting me?

Can I actually fix it right now?

If you’re hitting “no” on most of these…then it’s probably not yours to carry.

Not everything deserves your energy. Not everything needs a solution right now. Sometimes the smartest move is letting go and trusting it’ll sort itself out.

Save your stress for what’s actually in your hands ✨

I’ve been speaking with so many parents lately who feel that growing distance. It’s the arguments that go in circles, the “silent treatment” behind a gaming headset, or that feeling that you are simply speaking two different languages.

When you ask “How was your day?”, you shouldn’t have to be met with a wall. 🧱

In the professional world, we don’t think twice about investing in development to bridge a “disconnect” at work. I’m “in the lab” right now building a way for you to invest in your family’s development in that same way. 🧪✨

Coming July 2026: A 6-week intensive for parents and teens to attend TOGETHER.

Using kinaesthetic and experiential group activities, we’re going to stop the collisions and start understanding the Values, Strengths, and Behaviours that sit at the family dinner table.

I need your help to build this:
👇 Would a program like this be valuable for your family? 👇 Would you invest in a 6-week journey to learn your teen’s “language” again?

This workshop is currently in the lab phase and I’m curious! Would you be adventurous enough to try a workshop like this...

This workshop is currently in the lab phase and I’m curious! Would you be adventurous enough to try a workshop like this, over 6 sessions with your teen?

“I thought I wanted a slow year. I lied.”

The glitch? Realising that my “objectives” have shifted. I’m no longer chasing a title; I’m chasing an urgent need for mental health and wellbeing in young people, not only in myself, but in others. Even though I’m busier then previous years, having the time and space to put in my wellbeing practices, allows me to continue.

I don’t fit the old mould because I’m building a new one. Society tells us that “fitting the mould” means constant expansion. But as I look at my list for January and February, I realise I’m not busy, I am evolving.
