It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Goodstart Barnsley Drive will be closing as of March 21st, 2025. Over the years, we have had the privilege of being part of your children's early learning journey, watching them grow, learn, and thrive. We are incredibly grateful for the trust, support, and beautiful memories we have built together.

To our educators—your dedication, passion, and care have been the heart of our centre, shaping young minds and creating a nurturing environment every day. Your impact will always be cherished.

To our families—thank you for allowing us to be part of your child's early years. We appreciate your support, partnership, and the connections we've made along the way.

Although this chapter is coming to an end, the bonds we've created will remain strong. We encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or need support during this transition.

At Goodstart Barnsley Drive, every day is an opportunity to reflect, learn, and grow together. Our commitment to embedding Australia’s First Nations culture is an integral part of our learning environment.

Each of our classrooms has a dedicated Aboriginal-inspired area, thoughtfully designed to encourage children to explore and connect with the rich history, traditions, and stories of Australia’s First Nations people. These setups provide ongoing opportunities for children to engage in meaningful learning experiences through art, storytelling, music, and hands-on exploration.

In the foyer, we have created a special display to invite families and visitors to join us on this journey of understanding, respect, and reconciliation.

Together, we strive to honor the oldest continuous living culture in the world and to embed these practices into our everyday lives.

🌿 Exciting News: Bush Kinder program at Goodstart Barnsley Drive! 🌿

We’re thrilled to announce our new Bush Kinder program starting soon! This unique outdoor learning experience will take children aged 3-5 years into the natural beauty of Frog Hollow Reserve.

✨ What is Bush Kinder?
Bush Kinder encourages children to explore, learn, and grow in nature. From climbing logs and observing wildlife to creating art with natural materials, this program fosters creativity, confidence, and a deep connection to the environment.

Encourages healthy, active play.
✨ Our Commitment to Safety
We’ve conducted a thorough risk assessment to ensure a safe and enriching experience. Children will be guided by our trained educators, equipped with all essentials, including first aid kits.

We recently asked our families and children to help us choose their favourite foods from our menu. Families talked with their children about their top picks, and the children made their voices heard by voting with star stickers! ⭐🥗🍝

It was wonderful to see everyone engaged and excited about making healthy choices and sharing their preferences. Thank you to our amazing families for participating and making this a fun experience for the children!

🌟 Kinder Graduation 2024 – A Night to Remember! 🌟

On December 8th, we celebrated a very special evening at Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre, marking the achievements of our incredible Kinder children! 🎓✨

The night began with a warm Welcome and Acknowledgement of Country, followed by our talented children’s vibrant Opening Performances, including the beautiful Innane Kapuvana Indigenous song and some fun, energetic dances like I Like to Move It Move It.

During the Graduation Ceremony, each child was honored with a certificate, sash, framed photo, customised cookies and Wombat Stew book and enjoyed a special group photo moment 📸. Our educators shared heartfelt Words of Gratitude, reflecting on the growth and milestones of this amazing year.

A touching Slideshow highlighted key moments of 2024, celebrating our learning, laughter, and friendships. Families then enjoyed bonding time with refreshments, family pictures, and cheerful movement activities. 💕🫶

We closed the evening with heartfelt thanks to all our families for their continuous support and love. 🥰

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success – we are so proud of our Kinder graduates and can't wait to see what your next adventures will be! 🌱🎉
