Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums, grandmothers, aunties and special women in our children’s lives 💐
Last week, the children have been busy creating something special to celebrate the people who mean so much to them.
We finished the week with a beautiful afternoon tea, sharing special moments together and celebrating all the wonderful women in our community. 🌸
We hope you feel loved, appreciated and celebrated today. 💖

Our kinder children have been enjoying caring for our baby dolls by giving them a gentle wash and bath 🫧👶
Through this nurturing play experience, the children explored empathy, responsibility, communication and self-help skills while engaging in imaginative play. It was wonderful to see the children showing such kindness and care for their babies 💛

The mornings are getting cooler and the afternoons aren’t far behind 🍂
A quick reminder as we head deeper into autumn, it’s a great time to check what’s in your child’s bag:
🧥 A warm layer or jacket
🥾 Closed in shoes and socks
👕 At least one full change of clothes
👒 A hat for those bright autumn days
We love getting outside in all seasons, so being prepared helps children make the most of every moment.
Any questions about what to bring? Our team is always happy to help.

There’s something about a warm meal on a cool day 🍜
Our autumn menu is here, and the kitchen has been busy preparing nourishing meals designed to keep little ones energised and settled throughout the day.
Healthy eating in early childhood does more than fuel growth, it supports concentration, mood and the development of lifelong food habits.
We’d love to know: has your child come home raving about a particular dish? Tell us in the comments!

For families in select age groups, a Reading Eggs and MathSeeds subscription is included in enrolment. 🎉
These Australian programs complement our educator-led learning by reinforcing:
✅ Early phonics and reading skills
✅ Number recognition and counting
✅ Sequencing and problem solving
We use them intentionally, as one part of a broader, play-based learning program.
If you’d like help accessing login details or understanding how we integrate these tools, please speak with our Centre Manager.

Wellbeing Wednesday 🌿
Throughout the day, we create opportunities for quieter, calmer moments alongside active play.
Whether it’s a quiet space, a book or a gentle activity, these moments help children regulate, reset and feel secure in their environment.
Supporting emotional wellbeing is an important part of each day.

Mealtimes at our centre are a special part of the day 🍎
We focus on building healthy habits, encouraging independence, and creating a calm, positive environment. Children are supported to try new foods, use their utensils, and enjoy sitting together with their peers.
It’s all about learning, growing, and developing a healthy relationship with food 💛

Exploring primary colours through water play 🎨💧
We had so much fun experimenting with red, blue and yellow using jugs and water! The children loved pouring, mixing and watching the colours change.
This type of play not only encourages creativity, but also supports early science skills, problem solving and fine motor development.
Learning through play is always the best kind of learning 💛

Nature provides the most beautiful (and meaningful) resources for children to play, create, and explore 🌿
Our kinder children have loved using natural materials in their play. Leaves become paintbrushes, sand and sticks turn into rich sensory experiences, and collected treasures from outdoors are used to create unique self-portraits.
Using natural resources encourages children to:
🍃 Be creative and use their imagination
🌱 Explore different textures through sensory play
🪵 Connect with the environment around them
🎨 Express themselves in open-ended, meaningful ways

Today we had our exciting Recycle Man incursion for our Kinder children, and the children were absolutely buzzing with curiosity and enthusiasm. We learnt about how paper is made from trees and why recycling is so important for looking after our planet. The children were fascinated to discover that the Aboriginal didgeridoo is also made from trees, helping them make connections between nature, culture, and sustainability.
It was a lively, hands‑on learning experience that helped the children understand how small actions can make a big difference.
