Baisakhi 2026 Date, History, Significance and Puja Vidhi: Baisakhi is an ancient harvest festival celebrated in northern India, especially across the Punjab region.
The festival signals the ripening of the rabi (winter) crops, particularly wheat. Traditionally, farmers celebrate this milestone by expressing gratitude through community fairs (melas) and folk dances such as bhangra and giddha. While Baisakhi aligns with the solar calendar, the religious Sikh New Year (Nanakshahi) actually begins in the month of Chet (March)
This year, Baisakhi falls on Tuesday, 14th April 2026.

Thingyan is Myanmar's traditional Water Festival, marking the transition into the New Year. It is a time of joy, renewal, and spiritual reflection celebrated throughout the country.

Based on the Burmese calendar, the main celebrations for 2026 take place from 13 April to 16 April, with the official New Year's Day on 17 April.

The Sri Lankan/Tamil New Year, known as Sinhala Tamil Aluth Avurudda in Sinhala and Tamil, is celebrated in mid-April with rich cultural rituals, traditional foods, and community festivities. This year the new year is celebrated on 14 April 2026.

Our kindergarten students participated in a fun and educational experience at the local park. This outing helps children become confident about their environment and practice road safety skills when departing for the park by observing road signs and pedestrian lights. 🌱
