Tis the season to be sneezy...
It's Spring and we all know what that means for people with hay fever and asthma.
To help manage these seasonal challenges, Healthily has been working with The National Asthma Council to pull together a bundle of resources to support Victorians to mitigate the risks of pollen allergies and thunderstorm asthma.
One of the best resources we found for taking control of pollen allergies and managing exposure to the wind borne pollen associated with thunderstorm asthma is the Melbourne Pollen app.
Melbourne Pollen is helping Victorians better manage their pollen allergies by measuring and forecasting pollen and delivering timely alerts directly to your phone.
All you need to do is download the app, activate the notifications and be alerted to high or extreme pollen days.
Activate the thunderstorm asthma alert so you can minimise your exposure and take precautions. You can even track your symptoms in the app, which can help you manage your preventative medication.
We thought the app was such a great resource that we made a quick explainer animation about it.
