Today is International Literacy Day!

Happy Adult Learners Week! 🥳

From 1 - 8 September, Adult Learners' Week celebrates the many different paths adults take through learning. This year's theme, 'Follow Your Compass: Learning for Life', recognises how learning can help us to discover new directions and open up new possibilities at any stage of life.

After moving from Papua New Guinea to Australia, Louisa embraced the challenge of learning English with determination and the encouragement of her daughter, Rachael.

Nothing makes us happier than hearing how PageTurners is making a difference in the classroom!

One of our dedicated EAL teachers shared some wonderful feedback about the Prace PageTurners series, and how these books are transforming engagement and learning in her classroom.

The Level 1 (yellow) books have become a regular part of her EAL classes because the stories genuinely connect with students' lives and interests.

One Chinese student who loves fishing especially enjoyed 'Fresh Fish', while two of her students from Afghani and Iranian backgrounds connected strongly with 'The Weekend' because camping is something their families enjoy together.

What makes PageTurners so special is the wide range of themes and experiences represented across the series, helping learners see themselves in the stories they read.
