This week for , we come together to deepen our understanding of our shared cultures and histories, recognising both the progress made and the work that still lies ahead to achieve a truly just and reconciled Australia.
This year's theme, All In, encourages all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.
"The theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long. Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us." -
In the spirit of National Reconciliation Week, we’d like to highlight PageTurners Series 5 title, A Handful of Sand.
This short story recounts the long and courageous struggle of the Gurindji people to live on their traditional land in the Northern Territory. Over nine years, the Gurindji, with support from many, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, fought for their land. Eventually, they won it back 🖤💛❤️

As part of our PageTurners series, we have a special ANZAC story about a brave man who served at Gallipoli.
His name was Jack Simpson. He was a young man who joined the army, caught a donkey, and used it to help carry injured soldiers to safety. Today, he is remembered as an Australian legend.
If you’d like to read this story, you can purchase the book here and follow along with the free audio recording: https://pageturners.prace.vic.edu.au/shop/series-5/simpson-and-his-donkey
On this upcoming ANZAC Day, we pause to remember and honour the brave women and men who have served and sacrificed for our country.
We thank them for their courage, dedication, and selflessness.
This April 25th, let’s honour our heroes today and always.
Lest we forget.
