Throughout the week, the children followed their interests and initiated creative experiences, making adorable koalas from paper towel rolls and imaginative funny monsters using circular paper shapes. Each child explored their own ideas, colours and designs, creating unique artworks.

🎨🌱 School Holiday Fun at Shooting Stars Childcare and Early Learning Centre! 🌱🎨
Our school holiday program has been filled with creativity, discovery and hands-on learning! The children have immersed themselves in a wide range of exciting art experiences, creating beautiful masterpieces while exploring different materials, colours and techniques. They have also enjoyed planting flowers and vegetables, learning how to care for living things and gaining an appreciation for nature and the environment.
From painting and craft projects to gardening adventures, every day has been an opportunity to learn, create and grow while making wonderful memories with friends. We love seeing our young learners express their creativity, build confidence and develop new skills through meaningful play-based experiences.

⚽🏃‍♀️ Supporting Children’s Physical Development Through Active Learning 🌿✨
Our little learners have been enthusiastically engaging in extension experiences from our sports program, as well as exploring a variety of physical challenges during our recent park excursion. From balancing, climbing, throwing and kicking activities to exploring different play equipment, the children have been developing their coordination, confidence, balance and gross motor skills through active play. 🌟
These meaningful experiences also encourage teamwork, resilience, social interaction and a lifelong love for movement and healthy living. 💚

Our little learners have been actively engaging in meaningful practical life experiences, including making fresh orange juice, peeling mandarins, preparing their own sandwiches, cutting cucumbers and washing dishes.
These hands-on experiences support the development of independence, fine motor skills, concentration, coordination and confidence while encouraging children to actively participate in everyday routines. 🌿💛
