COVID-19 VACCINATIONS AVAILABLE AT FAWKNER COMMUNITY HALL 27-29 SEPTEMBER

Dear Community Member,

Please be advised that people can get vaccinated against COVID-19 at a pop-up clinic at Fawkner Community Hall, as part of a Victorian state program to boost vaccination rates over the coming weeks and months.

Fawkner Community Hall is located at 79 Jukes Road, Fawkner.

The vaccination clinic will operate from Monday, 27 September to Wednesday, 29 September, between 10am-6pm.

Bookings for vaccinations are preferred. You can book by calling the Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398 (press 0 for in interpreter). Limited walk-ins are also available.

UPDATE ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF DARUL ULUM ACADEMY - MICKLEHAM CAMPUS

We are pleased to inform you that Darul Ulum Academy's construction is progressing as planned and it will open its doors in 2022. The foundation for the Foundation to Year 4 building has been laid and construction of upper floors is underway.

Statement RE: Re-Opening of Fawkner Masjid
[Effective: Wednesday 28 July Until Further Notice]

Assalamu Alaikum Wr. Wb.
Respected Community Member,

Please be advised that consistent with the easing of restrictions, effective from Fajr prayer on Wednesday 28 July, Fawkner Masjid is pleased to host 100 attendees for each of the five daily prayers.

A maximum number of 300 attendees will be accommodated for in the outdoor adjacent facilities for Friday Jumu’a Prayer.

Current Conditions of Entry:

1. A total number of 100 attendees will be granted entry inside the mosque on a first come first serve basis for every prayer. An additional 300 attendees will be granted entry for the Friday Jumu’a prayer. Numbers will be accounted for by the assigned security guards.
2. Register using the displayed QR code or the Register Book.
3. Wear a facemask for the entire duration [unless an exemption applies].
4. Maintain social distancing at all times.
5. Perform Wudhu at home [as far as practicable].
6. Bring your own prayer mat.

We seek your cooperation for the safe and smooth running of the Masjid. May Allah reward you!

STATEMENT RE: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FAWKNER MASJID

Respected Community Member,

Please be advised that whilst the recent update to the restrictions in Metropolitan Melbourne allows for 50 people to congregate in places of worship as of 11:59pm on 10 June, regrettably, Fawkner Masjid will temporarily remain closed for the time being.

Insha’Allah, the Masjid will open once the restrictions allow for a reasonable and manageable number of people to gather in places of worship.

Your cooperation and understanding are highly appreciated in this regard.

Regrettably, due to the rapid changes with the coronavirus situation and the instructions issued by the relevant government authorities, Fawkner Mosque will be closed as of Thursday 27 May 9:00pm until further notice.

We beseech The Almighty to free humanity from this tribulation and to enable us to expose ourselves to His forgiveness and mercy.

2022 PREP ENROLMENTS

Darul Ulum College is excited to announce that Foundation (Prep) 2022 enrolments are now open for both of its campuses, Fawkner and Mickleham. If you have a child born no later than 30 April 2017 and wish to enrol them, please submit your expression of interest using the forms linked below or online via the school’s website. Upon receiving your expression of interest, an Application for Enrolment form will be generated and sent to you. Applications for Enrolment must be submitted by 21st May 2021.
