Kananook Creek is nestled within Carrum, Seaford and Frankston in Melbourne's south. The meandering waterway winds gently for about 7.5 km along the secondary dune system, paralleling Port Phillip's coastline before merging with the bay at Frankston Waterfront. On its eastern side, you'll find a delicate ribbon of native bushland, while the western side boasts residential properties. Kananook Cree

Unfortunately a resident who resides on the Kananook Creek discovered a spill on the creek. It turns out it was paint from someone washing their paint rollers and brushes.
The offender was identified and educated the correct process to enable NO residue will end up in the creek. The offender apologised.
In this instance they were not reported. However please be advised fines do apply.

Please be mindful of anything you leave can end up in our waterways
Job done. Walk away. 🚧
All that sand sitting right on the kerb, with nothing to stop it washing into the drain when it rains. And where does it go from there? Straight to the Yarra, Birrarung.
This is what sediment pollution looks like before it becomes a river problem. It starts on a suburban street. It starts here.
If you're doing works near a road or drain, contain it. It's not a big ask.
