Today, as we mark Australia Day, TLC Healthcare acknowledges the complex and multi-layered history of our nation. We celebrate the incredible resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the vibrant contributions of immigrants from every corner of the globe who now call Australia home. As a healthcare provider, our mission is rooted in the wellbeing of the people we serve. We use this day to reflect on our shared journey and reaffirm our commitment to providing compassionate, inclusive care for every member of our diverse communities.

We extend our congratulations to the outstanding cohort of graduates who have successfully completed the Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Business (Administration). Your commitment to excellence and perseverance throughout your studies is truly commendable. We are confident that you will continue to make meaningful contributions in your respective fields. 🎓

At TLC Healthcare, we are a proud partner of The Pinnacle Foundation, Australia’s LGBTQIA+ education charity.

Each year, with our support, The Pinnacle Foundation awards educational scholarships for tertiary studies to young LGBTQIA+ Australians, many who continue to face family, faith and community rejection because of how they identify. Each scholar is also paired with a mentor who has experienced a similar journey, offering guidance and support along the way.

One such scholar, Arvin, has been awarded the TLC Healthcare Scholarship in 2024 and 2025. Arvin is studying a Bachelor of Medical Studies and Doctor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales and is expecting to graduate in 2026. Arvin is passionate about mental health, access to healthcare, and making health and medical education more inclusive to the LGBTQIA+ community.

We are excited to see the positive impact Arvin will have in his community and beyond.

Happy Australia Day. Today we recognise the remarkable nation we have become. We recognise and honour our first Australians and our newest migrant citizens. And we relish the opportunity Australia Day provides for everyone to spend time with loved ones, and remember those no longer with us.
