Sài Gòn những ngày giữa tháng 7/2021, dù đã phong toả toàn thành phố liên tục gần 1 tháng nhưng số ca nhiễm COVID tăng nhanh liên tục và vẫn chưa xác định được đỉnh dịch, vì vậy Sài Gòn đang áp dụng giãn cách triệt để và quyết liệt hơn nữa.
Với những người nghèo, khuyết tật và sinh viên nghèo cư ngụ tại Sài Gòn hoặc sinh viên các tỉnh trọ học tại Sài Gòn thì giãn cách đồng nghĩa với muôn vàn khó khăn do không đủ chi phí sinh hoạt, không đủ lương thực, thực phẩm.

Chính vì vậy, Hands for Hope mở chiến dịch quyên góp này để xin quý đồng hương hỗ trợ các sinh viên của Hands For Hope, các sinh viên nghèo ở tỉnh khác chưa kịp về quê và và nhưng người khuyết tật đang chỉ biết trông chờ vào sự giúp đỡ.

Emergency Relief for Sài Gòn
The number COVID cases in Sài Gòn in July 2021 continue to rise to staggering heights, despite the city being in lockdown for almost a month. Everyone is anticipating stricter measures to be announced in coming days to arrest the spread of the pandemic.
For the destitute, the disabled or very poor uni students in Sài Gòn and those from other provinces stranded in Sài Gòn, the lockdown poses a myriad of difficulties from living expenses, to the lack of food supplies and the inability to buy food.
There are currently thousands of volunteers in the country, who put their own safety at risk by fearlessly venturing forth amidst the pandemic to collect donations and buy essential food items and distributing these to those most in need.
For this very reason, Hands For Hope is launching this Emergency Appeal with the purpose to help two specific groups; Hands for Hope uni students and poor uni students from other provinces stranded in Sài Gòn, and the disabled who are surviving purely on the generosity of others.
