Back again for 2026! A practical, microscope-based day working through a diverse range of intermediate to advanced cases with a focus on lymphocytes.

Each delegate will have their own microscope and slide set, with experienced morphologists on hand throughout the day for discussion, guidance and plenty of morphology talk.

The same program will be delivered on both days - simply choose the day that suits you.

Behind the scenes with the AIMS Victoria Branch! 🔬✨

​Yesterday, our committee gathered for our monthly meeting, diving deep into planning an exciting line-up of upcoming events. We love connecting our community through online and in-person workshops, and we’re already shaping up our future events.

​We’re also delighted to welcome three new committee members from the histology and molecular fields to the team! Their fresh perspectives and expertise will help us deliver even more value to medical laboratory scientists across Victoria—and beyond. 🌏

The AIMS Victorian Branch is on the hunt for a little piece of our history!

Sometime prior to 2017, our longstanding red AGM attendance book went missing. This book travelled with the Victorian Branch for decades, recording the names of members who attended our AGMs year after year.

We’re hoping it hasn’t disappeared forever and that it might simply have been put somewhere very safe… and subsequently forgotten about.

If you work in a Melbourne hospital laboratory, particularly if you’ve been around for a while, could you please have a quick look around your department?

📕 On a forgotten bookshelf?
🖥️ Living its second life as a monitor stand?
🗄️ In the back of a cupboard or junk drawer?
📦 In a box labelled “AIMS stuff” that nobody has opened since 2014?

We’re looking for a red book similar to the one pictured, containing handwritten names and AGM attendance records going back many years.

It would be wonderful to recover this little piece of AIMS Victorian Branch history.
