Nanny Jess BOOKINGS OPEN for Wedding & Event Work from August 2026. https://www.instagram.com/nannyjessrenn/profilecard/?igsh=ZGFmbjd6bmo1ZXIx Hello

My name is Jessica.

Nanny Jess is an experienced, professional nanny & household manager catering to each individual family’s needs. I have worked as a Private Nanny for the past 20 years. Working with children is my passion and I feel that being able to teach and assist a child in their everyday life so as they can live a happy and fulfilling life is the ultimate gift. I have worked in long day care as an Early Chil

dhood Educator, working mostly in the baby room (6 weeks – 18 months). I have also worked closely with additional needs children, (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Anxiety Disorders and Dyslexia) as a Teacher's Aide in the early childhood and primary school setting. I work at school holiday programs with YMCA. I also provide newborn care and support, which involves assisting families as they transition into life with a new baby in the house. Over the last 25 plus years I have worked with children aged 0-18 years in various roles through my nanny and teaching assistant work, schooling placements, babysitting, before/after school care programs and holiday programs. Working with children in these various settings enables me to continue to develop my skills and understanding towards the needs of the children in my care. It has also assisted me in expanding my skills in planning and implementing fun and interactive activities for children. I continue to refine my skills in time management and problem solving through the challenges and experiences I face in my work. I regularly complete professional development to further my knowledge and understanding of children. I am currently studying my Graduate Diploma is Early Childhood Education through Monash. I have completed a Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services at Swinburne University and a Teachers / Integration Aide Certificate at Monash University. I am certified Newborn Care specialist and a certified Birth and Postnatal Doula. I have a current Working with Children’s Check, Police Check and have current up to date CPR, First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management. I have an ABN and I am fully insured. I cherish the opportunity to be part of your family, as I believe that I would be a wonderful asset. I want to provide your children with every chance possible to achieve their health and happiness. I feel being part of a family enriches both our lives as we grow and achieve together.

** Please note I am currently not taking nannying bookings. Enquiries are welcome and I will do my best to meet your needs or point you in the right direction. Thank you**

Exploring Science at Scienceworks

We visited Scienceworks, where the Mr5&9 engaged in hands-on exhibits that encouraged curiosity, prediction and investigation.
The boys explored cause and effect, made observations and shared discoveries as they experimented and tested ideas.

In the Little People’s Play Zone, Mr 5 moved confidently between activities, returning to favourites (the fly scarves) and engaging in imaginative play with peers. H

In the Sports Section, Mr 9 participated in physical challenges, developing coordination, timing and focus as he practised kicking and handballing with persistence.

At the light exhibit, children explored colour, reflection and movement, noticing how light changes when moved closer, further away or combined. In the sound area, they explored vibration and volume, noticing differences in loudness and feeling sound through touch.

Throughout the experience, children demonstrated strong skills in observation, problem-solving, communication and critical thinking, while supporting and learning from one another.

We recently came across the book My Shadow Is Purple at the library, and it has quickly become one of our favourites.
What I love most is the beautiful way it explores gender stereotypes in a way that children can so easily understand. It opens up conversations about identity, individuality, and the freedom to simply be yourself.
The message is simple but powerful, you don’t have to choose a box to fit into. You can follow the path that feels right for you, embrace all the parts of who you are, what makes you unique and shine in your own way without changing any part of you.
It’s such a beautiful and meaningful read for both children and adults alike. I will be adding this to my resource collection.

So… what colour is your shadow?

Park Adventures

One of our favourite things to do as a family is exploring new parks and playgrounds. We’re so lucky to have so many amazing new spaces popping up around Donnybrook over the last couple of years.
This weekend we checked out two little gems — Lavender Rain Park Playground and The Glide Park Playground — and both were a big hit! We loved the nature play elements at Glide Park, and the giant climbing tower at Lavender Rain was definitely an adventure.
Mr 5 was convinced it looked just like a giant pineapple 🍍 and honestly… I can see it too!

So… I did a thing.

I was interviewed by ABC News about the outdated domestic worker rule around superannuation — and it’s a conversation that seriously needs more attention.

Did you know that nannies are classified as domestic workers? Under the current rules, if they work less than 30 hours per week for a single family, employers are not required to pay superannuation.

The problem is that many nannies work across multiple families to make up full-time hours. Even though they may be working well over 30 hours a week in total, they often miss out on super entirely because the system doesn’t reflect the reality of modern nanny work.

This rule is outdated, unfair, and leaves many hardworking carers without the retirement savings they deserve.

Nannies play a huge role in supporting families, raising children, and keeping households running — they deserve the same protections and financial security as other workers.

It’s time for this rule to change.

Ready for this beautiful new chapter ✨

Stepping into this role with a full heart, and an open mind. I am so excited for the difference I will make in the children I get to nurture, guide and inspire each day. Kindergarten is such a special time — big feelings, brave firsts, tiny hands learning big things.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to create a space where children feel safe, seen, supported and celebrated. Here’s to new beginnings, meaningful connections, and making a difference one little learner at a time 🤍🌈

Look at these amazing spots!! There’s a few on the list we need to try. 🥰

A truly beautiful day at Werribee Open Range Zoo 🦁🦒
Getting out and about, breathing in the fresh air, and soaking up moments that remind you how special simple adventures can be. From lions roaming nearby to spotting an ostrich, a rhino, and of course the ever-graceful giraffes — the close encounters made the day unforgettable.

A day filled with laughter, happiness, and pure joy ✨
