Strong in Culture, Strong in Identity

Powerful images of our morning with Children, Parents & Grannies learning age old practices that we are revitalising through projects facilitated for First Nations Families!

Yarn Strong Sista owner & Taungurung woman Annette Sax, felt privileged to be part of the program that was organised for community members from

Annette taught participants the story of foraging for Ochre and Wattle Sap on Taungurung Country, how to grind Ochre & make Wattle Sap water, to create special paint for Walert Walert (possum) leather.

Annette always Acknowledges her Aboriginal Teachers who led the way in the reclamation of the importance of our animal kin Walert!
