A heartfelt **thank you to all our beautiful families** for your incredibly kind wishes, thoughtful messages and wonderful feedback on Educators’ Day. 💕

Our educators had such a **special and memorable day**, filled with appreciation, smiles, laughter and lots of love from our families. It was truly heartwarming to celebrate together as one big team and feel so valued for the work we do each day. 🥰

Ever had one of those "What should I be doing with my child?" moments? You might already have the answer at home.

Earlier this year, every Goodstart family received a What & When for Families guide for each child. If it's been tucked away in a drawer since then, now might be the perfect time to pull it back out.

The guide is packed with simple, play-based activities that support your child's learning and development at home. Best of all, it's written in your child's voice, with ideas tailored to their age and developmental stage.

From singing songs with babies and playing peek-a-boo, to "I Spy" games, storytelling and treasure hunts with older children, the activities are designed to fit naturally into everyday moments you already share together.

We know learning doesn't only happen in the classroom. Those small moments at home can help build big communication, language and literacy skills.

🌿💚 A Little Adventure at the Park! 🌳🛝

Today, our Babies at Goodstart Pascoe Vale enjoyed a wonderful outing to the park with their peers in our double prams! 🥰

The children had so much fun exploring the playground, connecting with nature and discovering the world around them. From taking in the fresh air and noticing the trees, leaves and sounds of nature to exploring different parts of the playground, every moment created an opportunity for learning and discovery. 🌱🍃

These experiences support children to build confidence, develop curiosity and strengthen their connection with the natural environment while enjoying meaningful experiences together.

There were lots of smiles, laughter and little moments of wonder along the way! 💕✨

The research is clear 📚 reading aloud is one of the most powerful things we can do for our children.

When we read with a child, we’re doing far more than sharing a story. We’re building the foundations for language, confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Decades of research shows that children who are read to regularly:

💛 Build stronger language skills
Hearing rich varied language in books exposes children to far more words than everyday conversation alone. This growing vocabulary helps them understand, communicate and make sense of the world.

💛 Develop early literacy skills long before they learn to read
Through stories, children learn how books work – that print carries meaning, that pages turn left to right, and that stories have a beginning, middle and end. These early understandings make learning to read feel familiar and exciting.

We're excited to be celebrating Pajama Week as we come together to support foster children through a special fundraiser. Our children and educators are enjoying wearing their favourite pajamas while learning about kindness, compassion, and helping others in our community.

At our centre, we are passionate about creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for children of all ages. That's why we proudly offer Hey Dee Ho Music sessions every week!

Through singing, dancing, movement, rhythm, and interactive play, children develop important skills including language, confidence, coordination, creativity, and social connections—all while having lots of fun.

Music plays a vital role in early childhood development, helping children express themselves, build relationships, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Our weekly Hey Dee Ho sessions provide opportunities for children to explore, discover, and grow in a joyful and supportive environment.

🚌✨ What an exciting milestone for our Kindergarten children!

Today, our kinders enjoyed their very first excursion, travelling by bus to visit Goodstart Pascoe Vale. The children were full of excitement as they experienced riding on a bus together and explored the school environment.

From stepping onto the bus to touring the classrooms and playgrounds, it was a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, spark curiosity, and help our children become familiar with the next stage of their learning journey.

A big thank you to the team at Goodstart Pascoe Vale for welcoming us and providing such a positive and engaging experience for our children.

We are so proud of how well our kinders represented our kindergarten and embraced this new adventure with enthusiasm, confidence, and big smiles! 😊
