Last week, during our staff meeting, we focused on effective supervision, children's digital footprints, and practical strategies to support children's wellbeing.
Our team explored ways to strengthen supervision practices and discussed tools and approaches that help educators proactively support children throughout the day. We also looked at the importance of creating designated calm-down areas, providing children with safe spaces to regulate their emotions, develop self-awareness, and build resilience.
As part of our discussion on children's digital footprints, we explored the importance of protecting children's online presence and personal information. We also shared recent updates to Storypark, including enhanced security features that prevent users from taking screenshots within the platform. This is one of the ways we are supporting and safeguarding children's digital footprints, helping to ensure that children's information, photos, and learning stories are shared securely and respectfully.
Ongoing professional learning ensures we continue to provide safe, supportive, and nurturing environments where every child can thrive.

💛 Wear It Yellow for Reconciliation Week 2026 💛
This Reconciliation Week, our centre proudly participated in the Wear It Yellow fundraiser, coming together to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and achievements.
Children and educators dressed in yellow, engaged in meaningful learning experiences, explored Indigenous perspectives through stories, art and conversations, and reflected on the importance of building respectful relationships and a shared future.
Thank you to our wonderful centre community for joining us in wearing yellow and helping create an environment where respect, inclusion and understanding can continue to grow.

🐣 Getting Into the Spirit of the Season
Our team has set up an Easter-inspired area, inviting children to explore, create, and engage in imaginative play. There will be more age appropriate arts and crafts in each room to support further learning as well.
It’s been lovely watching children connect with this seasonal experience in their own unique ways: building fine motor skills, sharing stories, and enjoying the simple joy of discovery. 🌼

Last week on Harmony Day, we dressed in orange, shared delicious food from our cultures, and got creative with hands-on art in every room! 🎨🍴
It’s amazing to see our community come together to celebrate that everyone belongs. Thank you to all the families who contributed and we felt the love. 🥰
