Today, here Goodstart Early Learning Bentleigh East - McKinnon Road we had the pleasure of celebrating the wonderful fathers, father figures, grandparents, carers, and all the very special people who play such an important role in our lives. 💙

Our Father’s Day & Special Person Day Breakfast was a wonderful opportunity to come together, share a delicious breakfast, create special memories, and most importantly, say thank you to those who are always there to support, encourage, care for, and inspire us. 🥰

A heartfelt thank you to all the special people who joined us and helped make the morning so memorable. Your presence made the celebration even more meaningful. 🌷

We are so grateful for the love, guidance, kindness, and countless little things you do every day. You truly make a difference, and today was all about celebrating YOU! ❤️

🍰 Bake Sale for Red Nose Day! ❤️

Today here Goodstart Early Learning Bentleigh East - McKinnon Road, we held our bake sale to raise funds for Red Nose Day campaign which is dedicated to saving little lives by funding vital research, educating new parents on safe sleep, and providing 24/7 bereavement support to families who have lost a baby or child. 🎈

This initiative is also part of our Quality Improvement Plan – Area 6: Collaborative Partnerships with Families and Communities, strengthening our connections with families and our wider community.

Our children and families have baked these goodies!We sincerely thank all our families for your generosity and for supporting us in this good cause. ❤️ Thank you for your continued support! 🌟

Ever had one of those "What should I be doing with my child?" moments? You might already have the answer at home.

Earlier this year, every Goodstart family received a What & When for Families guide for each child. If it's been tucked away in a drawer since then, now might be the perfect time to pull it back out.

The guide is packed with simple, play-based activities that support your child's learning and development at home. Best of all, it's written in your child's voice, with ideas tailored to their age and developmental stage.

From singing songs with babies and playing peek-a-boo, to "I Spy" games, storytelling and treasure hunts with older children, the activities are designed to fit naturally into everyday moments you already share together.

We know learning doesn't only happen in the classroom. Those small moments at home can help build big communication, language and literacy skills.

A healthy smile starts with healthy habits! 🦷✨
At Goodstart Bentleigh East, McKinnon Road, we believe that teaching children about dental health from an early age helps build positive lifelong habits. As part of Dental Health Week, we organised a special dental check-up and educational session to help our little learners understand the importance of caring for their teeth and practising good oral hygiene.

It was a fun and interactive experience where children learned about brushing, healthy food choices, and visiting the dentist with confidence. We love creating meaningful learning opportunities that support every child's health, wellbeing, and development.

How do we best support our families with questions about kindergarten, funding, school readiness, and everything in between? The answer is simple—by bringing everyone together.
Our Kinder Information Night, held in collaboration with our neighbouring primary school, provided families with the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and gain valuable insights about the transition to school. By working together with our local primary school and partnering with the most important people in every child's life—their parents—we can help foster confident, capable, and happy little learners.

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who attended our Kinder Information Night on Thursday, both in person and online. Your engagement and support mean so much to us.

A special thank you also to the Principal of Valkstone Primary School for generously sharing her time, knowledge, and expertise with our families, helping them better understand what lies ahead. Together, we're building strong foundations for every child's learning journey. 💙
