Mamas in the Kitchen

The last day of term 2 also brings us to the last trading day for Mamas in the Kitchen.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and friendship over the 7 years, I have been blessed to have met some wonderful people. I have managed 2 canteens, made it through Covid, celebrated Osborne PS’ 150 years, fed lots of hungry kids (& Teachers) celebrated footy and Pie days, served blue milkshakes & hundreds of hot dogs and so much more.

After losing my precious Steve 12 months ago life changed direction for me, closing this chapter of my life is only opening another. I am thankful for the support I have received from you all.

While Mamas will be closing you will still see familiar faces in the canteen serving your kiddies and keeping the coffee pot topped up in the mornings.

Year 3 excursion day lunch packs are now open in Flexischools for the Briars Excursion on Wednesday 1st May. Orders will close Tuesday at 3pm so order now so you don’t miss out.

Term 2 begins tomorrow and Mamas will be there with the coffee on for you and the snacks ready for the kids. Stop by and Say hi to Sam and Nyssa in the morning! ☕️

As Term 1 comes to an end I would like to take this opportunity to tell you all that tomorrow will be my last day in the Mamas kitchen. Our Canteen will continue to operate until the end of the year but I will no longer be around. I have accepted a full time position in the private sector. I will miss everyone at Osborne PS after being apart of this community for 17 years. Starting as a reading parent, a member on FOS, a school council member then FOS president and 5 years as School Council President. I have owned and operated Mamas since 2018 and we have made it through some pretty hard times but after the passing of my beautiful husband last year I just feel the time is right for a change. Sam will be stepping back in to work and manage the kitchen in my absence. Again I thank you all for the friendship and kindness you have all shown me over the last 7 years, I have loved being a part of such an amazing school community. I hope you all have a Happy and safe Easter 🐣 Break and I will see you around town!

We are very excited to announce our Fundraising Fridays. From Friday 1st March we will be proudly Supporting the ‘Wildlife Warriors.’ Look out for the Items marked in our menu that will help up to raise funds. ‘Wildlife Warriors treat sick, injured and orphaned native animals at Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital – one of the world’s largest and busiest wildlife hospitals.

For the remainder of the Term we will have a Green milkshake on the menu, but only on a Friday! For every Green ‘eucalypt’ Milkshake sold we will donate 30c to Wildlife Warriors.
