We're grateful when a client takes the time to share their experience publicly. Thank you, Darren.

That's exactly what Uplift is for: helping people move forward in their job search without doing it alone.

10 weeks. 5 focused sessions. Weekly accountability in between. A thinking partner who's completely in your corner until you're across the line.

Here's what Darren had to say after going through it:

"Changing jobs is big, and like all things in life, its great to have someone on your team, keeping you accountable, on track and moving. Can't recommend it highly enough, so good."
β€” Darren Allen, General Manager

If your search has stalled, or you're still employed but know something needs to change, Uplift gives you the structure and support to get moving again.

πŸ‘‰ One. They ask AI to write the whole thing, then wonder why it sounds like nobody.

πŸ‘‰ Two. They use the same generic prompt for every application, instead of feeding it the actual job ad and all supporting documents.

πŸ‘‰ Three. They stop at the first draft, instead of treating it as a starting point.

None of this means AI can't help you. It just means most people haven't been shown how to use it well.

That's exactly what I'm covering in a free session next Tuesday 25 August, 7pm (AEST). https://www.thebridgecoaching.com.au/free-ai-career-webinar/

If you want a head start before then, I also put together a free AI prompt kit, 25 copy and paste prompts for exactly this. https://thebridgecoaching.kit.com/ai-for-career-change

Which of these three sounds familiar to you?

You've probably used AI to draft an email or two. Maybe you've asked it to "improve" your resume and got something generic back.

Using AI well in a career change or job search is different. It's not about typing a request and hoping for the best. It's about knowing exactly what to ask, and what to do with the answer.

So Emmy Petersson is running a free live session to show you how.

πŸ‘‰ Career Change and Job Searching in the Age of AI What actually works, and what's just noise.

⏱️ Tuesday 25 August, 7:00 PM AEST (Melbourne), on Zoom.

In 30 minutes, live, I'll walk through three real ways to use AI right now:

➑️ Updating your CV and LinkedIn profile
➑️ Applying for jobs, faster and smarter
➑️ Brainstorming your next career step, including your transferable skills

Real prompts. Real outputs. Live Q&A at the end.

Can't make it live? Register anyway, I'll send the recording to everyone who signs up:

Motivation gets you started. It won't get you across the line.

What does? An engine. The systems and people that keep you moving when the early energy fades.

That's step eight of The Career Alignment Blueprint: Your Engine.

You begin full of intent. Three weeks in, the rejections land, the applications blur, and you slow down. Not because you've given up, but because willpower runs out.

So you replace willpower with structure. A simple weekly plan. A tracker, so you see progress instead of guessing.

And people. Most good moves come through a conversation, not an application. Keeping a few relationships warm means you're never relying on a single option, which matters more in an uncertain market.

What's one relationship you've let go quiet that's worth gently picking back up this week?

Clarity feels great. But clarity that doesn't move is just a nicer kind of stuck.

This is where the final stage of The Career Alignment Blueprint begins: Drive. It starts with Your Roadmap.

A roadmap turns a big, daunting goal into a sequence you can act on. What happens first. What can wait. What this looks like over the next few months, around the life you already have.

The practical truths get built in here. Timing. Finances. The runway you have. A plan that ignores those isn't brave. It's fragile.

Most people swing between endless planning and panicked action. A roadmap is the middle path. Considered enough to trust. Simple enough to start.

You don't need to see the whole bridge to take the first step.

What's the smallest action that would move you forward, and what's stopping you this week?

Right now, someone is reading your LinkedIn profile and deciding whether to reach out.

You'll never know it happened. That's exactly why Your Presence matters.

Step six of The Career Alignment Blueprint is about one thing: being findable, and being clear, when the right person looks.

Most mid-career profiles quietly work against their owner. A headline that just states a job title. An "About" left blank, or written in stiff third person.

Experience that lists duties nobody reads.

It's not that these people lack a story. Their profile isn't telling it.

This isn't about becoming an influencer. You don't need to post daily. You need a profile that makes the right person think: I should talk to them.

Read your own headline as a stranger would. Does it say what you do and where you're going, or just where you've been?

A CV that lists what you did rarely lands. One that tells a story does.

This is step five of The Career Alignment Blueprint: Your Story.

Here's where mid-career professionals struggle. A full, varied career. Different roles, sectors, a few changes of direction. On paper it can read as scattered.

The job isn't to hide that. It's to connect it.

This matters most when you're changing sectors. The transferable skills you built in one industry don't announce themselves. The work is showing how they carry into the next, in plain language a hiring manager can follow.

Recruiters are asking a quiet question: does this person's path make sense? Answer it before they have to ask.

You've got the experience. The gap is usually the words.

When someone asks why you're making this change, can you answer it in two clear sentences?

You can't position yourself toward a target you haven't named.

This is where the second stage of The Career Alignment Blueprint begins: Position. It starts with Your Vision.

Not a vague "I want something different." A real picture. Where do you want to be in one year? In five?

Most people resist this. It feels presumptuous to name what you want when you're not sure it's possible.

But vague goals produce vague action. "I'll see what's out there" isn't a plan. It's a way to stay exactly where you are.

A clear vision gives you a filter. You look at a role and know: this moves me closer, or this is a sideways step dressed up as progress.

It doesn't have to be perfect. Just honest, and specific enough to aim at.

Picture an ordinary Tuesday two years from now, in work that fits. What are you doing?
