Little Hands, Big Impact: Exploring Sustainability in the Garden!

At Our House, we’ve been nurturing little green thumbs! 🌱🌿
Over the past few weeks, our children have been exploring plant growth through hands-on gardening experiences.
They enjoyed picking ripe vegetables, watering plants, and engaging in rich sensory play with soil. These moments sparked thoughtful conversations about how plants grow and how we can care for our environment. 🌻🍅
After collecting tomatoes in a small basket, the children helped wash them and shared ideas on how they could be used in meals—showing not only responsibility but a growing awareness of sustainability.
Through experiences like this, our children are learning to care for nature, work together, and develop lifelong respect for the environment.

Harmony Week 2025

At Our House, we celebrated Harmony Week with a range of meaningful learning experiences that helped children explore the beauty of cultural diversity. 🌏🧡
Educators and Children sang songs in different languages, proudly wore traditional cultural attire, and learned about various countries and their flags. These experiences sparked rich discussions about inclusion, respect, and the message that we all belong.
Educators used intentional teaching strategies and creative activities to help children recognise and celebrate the differences that make our world vibrant. Harmony Week reminds us that "Together we are much more stronger."

Book Week 2023!

Books play an important part in our lives. This year, we have set various spaces for children to explore, such as Gruffalo, Very Hungry Caterpillar and Incy Wincy Spider. We had a book week parade! The children wore adorable book character costumes and had so much fun showing their friends what they wore!

We are learning the names of fruits!

The nursery children are learning the names of the fruits. Learning about healthy eating habits is very important in early years. The children enhance their vocabulary by learning new words.

As children are naturally curious about their world, Our House provides children in all age groups with an opportunity to connect with the environment.
Through various experiences, children understand the importance of protecting nature and the environment. The educator used an intentional teaching strategy to educate children about sustainability practices.

Books are an important part of our lives and we showed that in Book Week.

SCIENCE WEEK 2022

As stated in the EYLF "children develop understandings of themselves and their world through active, hands-on investigation"

We celebrated science week with lots of learning experiences. Take a look at our week experiences.

Looking through microscope to magnify objects,,Learning about magnetism , Dancing rice experiment, play dough making experience AND bread experiment to learn about the importance of hand washing.

Harmony Day

By celebrating Harmony day, the children broaden their understanding of the world around them. They are learning about cultural diversity and inclusion. As EYLF has always talked about the importance of promoting Cultural diversity in early childhood settings, we educators provide opportunities for children to participate in cultural activities.

Easter in Our House

We celebrated Easter with a variety of learning experiences. All the Children enjoyed participating in an array of activities such as Easter egg making using colourful pegs and boards, Easter cooking experience, Easter colouring/painting and very favourite Easter egg hunt. During our cooking experiences, children helped each other to make cookies. They all waited for their turns whilst participating in all those activities.

Our House Early Learning World is a small 43 places child care centre. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate casual relief educator to join our team in Frankston.

We are a growing reputable Early Education provider and as a result, will open you to further career opportunities based within a centre.

Our expectations are for someone who is reliable with a strong work ethic.

You will need:

Working with Children Check
Certificate III in Children Services
First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
Staff are employed under the Children's Service's Award 2010.
