The Centre provides early learning and child care to children aged from 6 weeks old up until they start at Primary School. With only 46 places, children are cared for in a warm, family-friendly and homely environment where they feel loved, included and understood. All children are provided with a range of fun, educational activities to stimulate their emotional, social, mental and physical develop

ment. Weekly programs are delivered by qualified educators within the education department's Early Years Learning Framework. Our excellent programs ensure Hastings Child Care Centre meets and exceeds the National Quality Standards. A funded Kindergarten Program is available to 4 year old children, to develop their reading and writing skills, ready to start Primary School. We also run a Kindergarten Program for 3 year old children. The Centre provides registered child care with the Commonwealth Government. Children may be eligible to receive Child Care Benefits, the Child Care Rebate, Special Child Care Benefit or Grandparent Child Care Benefit. Children receive fresh-cooked meals (Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea) prepared by our cook in a kitchen onsite. For younger children, nappies are provided and all children are successfully toilet trained. You are always welcome to visit Hastings Child Care Centre and see what we have to offer your child. Our 3 & 4yo Kindergarten children had so much fun visiting our friends at The Bays Aged Care this Term. ๐Ÿ’› The smiles, stories, and laughter reminded us how special intergenerational bonds are. We look forward to visiting again in Term 4! ๐ŸŒท

We had such a wonderful time visiting St. Mary's Catholic Primary School this Term as part of our Community Kinder Excursion Program! Our kindy children loved getting a sneak peek into life at big school. These transition visits are a fantastic way to help them feel confident and excited for their own transition to Prep. Big thanks to the St. Mary's team for having us! โœจ

Our Community Kinder excursion program is all about getting outside the classroom and into the community! โœจ

As we head into National Reconciliation Week, we used a wonderful resource created by SNAICC to explore the history and meaning behind the colours of the Aboriginal Flag. Our kinder children loved using red, yellow, and black to connect with this important learning through art.

Recently we ventured out to visit our friends at . โœจ

We loved singing and dancing during our own Storytime with the Librarian. Iโ€™m a Little Teapot and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Once I Caught a Fish Alive were our favourites. We all laughed through the book Piranhas Donโ€™t Eat Bananas ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŽฃ

After Storytime we had a relaxing browse and borrowed a few stories to take back to kinder. ๐Ÿ“–
