Your fascia is a powerful and sensitive communicator. We can influence it through touch, awareness and gentle movement.
When we’re stressed, train too much or lack sleep, blood flow decreases, the fascia stiffens, and becomes glue-like. Instead of circulating freely, it can stagnate in the tiny spaces between fibers. The tissues can feel boggy, heavy, or sticky, causing Sluggish lymphatic drainage, and a Build-up of metabolic waste and inflammation.
Fascia doesn’t just respond to physical strain — it also responds to your nervous system. With ongoing stress, your “fight-or-flight” system becomes more active which tightens muscles and fascia, even without injury.
Fascia stretching uses a combination of flowing moves, holds and glides as well as the breath, shifting you into parasympathetic mode, calming your nervous system, which then softens the fascia and makes it flow better.
Fascia is slow to adapt. If it is constantly bracing due to stress, inflammation, or lack of recovery, YOU’LL STAY STUCK! Include fascia stretching in your routine and keep up the foam rollering, it helps too!
Here we are stretching the thoracic-lumbar fascia, the lower back & glutes to increase range of motion by increasing hip rotation and external rotation of the femur. It feels wonderful too!
Have you tried assisted stretching. We stretch along your fascial lines to free you from stiffness and tightness and improve your mobility and flexibility. It feels amazing.

Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, is the practice of therapeutic relaxation where one spends time in a forest or natural atmosphere, focusing on sensory engagement to connect with nature. Just like yoga and meditation, it has numerous health benefits.
There are also therapeutic benefits from indoor plants. Research has established a strong link between mental health and exposure to nature. Plants not only reduce stress and improve mood, enhance cognitive function, creativity, mental clarity, memory and performance!
Exposure to nature has been associated with increased levels of serotonin and endorphins, neurotransmitters that contribute to feelings of happiness and well-being.
Plants in indoor spaces filter harmful pollutants and release oxygen and remove airborne pollutants found in household products and building materials that can negatively affect cognitive function and mood.
Plants create a soothing atmosphere and evoke feelings of awe and wonder which can further contribute to relaxation, stress relief and improved mood.
Having a connection with nature can help us feel more grounded and in tune with our environment. Natural environments also give us mental respite from the constant stimuli of urban settings, helping our minds rejuvenate and function more effectively.
So whenever you have a stretch you can enjoy the added benefits of our indoor forest!
