Joy Diving Australia: Neurodivergent Belonging

, my brother Ben went missing during his final psychotic episode. Since his death, I have been walking, cycling and learning- so that I can assist in raising awareness and reducing stigma of mental health issues across Australia. My brother's death lead me to complete a Bachelor of Honours in Psychology, alongside many years of p***c advocacy. I am still passionate about reducing stigma, and raising awareness of mental ill-health. Though I now have a new area that I talk about. I was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD in 2019. This has been life changing for me, and I've discovered a great deal about my brain, how it works, and how best I can support it, to live a meaningful life. My role as a public speaker across Australia is to inspire and motivate people into action. Through this role I also encourage and educate people about the importance of self-literacy. My talks stem from personal experience, and are based on the latest research in mental illness, su***de prevention, early intervention and prevention, and now in ASD and ADHD.
