It looked so easy on paper. Literally. 😄

We gave our Rowville educators the coordination challenge: matching hand and fist combinations from cards on the table, and what followed was one of the most entertaining things we have ever filmed at Aurora.

Concentration faces. Quiet panic. Genuine laughs. Eyes and hands that had very different ideas about what was supposed to happen next.

Today is Early Childhood Educators' Day and at Aurora, every single day is a reminder of just how extraordinary our team truly is. 🎉

To every educator across our Doncaster, Rowville and QV centres: THANK YOU. For the curiosity you nurture, the relationships you build and the quiet, consistent magic you bring to every single child in your care.

Our founders Sheela and Simone said it best in the words they wrote for our educators today:

"At Aurora, our deep river flows,
To a world of wonder for all to play and grow.
You follow each current, wherever it leads,
Nurturing questions, ideas and seeds.

Through splashes of laughter and skies sometimes blue,

Book Week costume day at Aurora was everything we hoped it would be and then some. Characters big and small, familiar and wonderfully unexpected: all walking the halls of our centres like they owned them.

Authors. Illustrators. Composers. Meet our QV Kinder children. 📖🎨🎵

This year's Book Week theme was "Symphony of Stories" and our Kinder children at Aurora QV took it completely to heart.

Working in small groups, they created their very own stories from scratch. They chose their characters, built their adventures, illustrated their favourite scenes and then composed an original soundtrack to go with it using real instruments.

In this video, our Studio Leader Alice brings their book to life, reading it aloud exactly as our little authors imagined it.📚✨🌱

Every morning. Every day. Without fail. 🌱

At Aurora, two of the most important moments of our day are also the simplest. Our Acknowledgement of Country song, which opens every morning with gratitude and respect for the land we learn and play on. And our Thank You before lunch, where little voices come together to appreciate the food in front of them and the hands that prepared it.

These are not just rituals. They are the foundation of who we are becoming together: respectful, grateful, connected and aware of the world beyond our own.

This is the Aurora Way. ❤️🖤💛

This is a day at Aurora, and every single moment of it matters.

Our holistic curriculum is not just about what children learn. It is about how they feel, who they are becoming and the joy they find in every experience along the way. 🌱✨

Volcanoes. Colour explosions. Light shows. Just a regular week at Aurora. 🌋🔬

Our children threw themselves into National Science Week with the kind of enthusiasm that only a bubbling volcano and a very satisfying colour reaction can inspire.

Watching little ones discover cause and effect, ask questions and absolutely lose their minds over a bicarb soda experiment is one of our very favourite things. ✨🌈

Science is not something we teach at Aurora. It is something we experience. 🌱

Turns out our educators are extremely competitive. Who knew. 😄🏆

The steal the cup challenge made its way to Aurora Rowville this week and the children handled it with grace, focus and impressive reflexes.

The educators handled it very differently.

Kelly and Bharat, we saw everything. The whole room saw everything. ✨

This is what happens when you give a great team a cup and tell them to win. We would not have it any other way. 🌱
