Celebrating Mothers, Raising Hope ♥️
On Friday, our centre was filled with love, laughter, and beautiful moments as we celebrated all the incredible mums and mother figures in our children’s lives at our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea.
From delicious treats and heartwarming activities to fun-filled games shared between children and their special loved ones, every smile reminded us how precious these moments truly are. The joy on the children’s faces as they created memories with their mums was simply priceless.
This year’s celebration was made even more meaningful as we came together to support a cause close to many hearts — raising funds and awareness for breast cancer. Our centre glowed in pink as families united in kindness, love, and hope for those affected by breast cancer.
A special highlight of the afternoon was our beautiful photo setup, where families captured precious memories to cherish for years to come. Moments like these remind us that the greatest gift we can give is time, love, and togetherness.
Thank you to all the wonderful families who joined us, donated, participated, and helped make this event so special. Your support, generosity, and presence created a truly magical afternoon.
To all mums, grandmothers, aunties, carers, and mother figures — today we celebrate YOU and the endless love you give every single day.
Happy Mother’s Day.

Let's learn about each other !!
Creating inclusive, child-safe environments means recognising and valuing these differences. We respect children’s various cultural backgrounds and work in partnership with families, children and try to build a place where everyone is understood, included, and safe. One of the many ways we do this is by including various cultural celebrations in our day to day experiences.
By reflecting on their own experiences, learning from families, and including children’s cultures in everyday experiences and practices, not only do teachers share knowledge and awareness among children but also help create environments where inclusion and safety is experienced by all .

'Happy Holi"
Holi brought a splash of colour to our centre today.
The children and educators arrived dressed in bright, joyful outfits. Our educators guided the children through colour‑themed experiences that encouraged creativity, curiosity, and cultural appreciation.
It was a beautiful day of learning, laughter, and togetherness as we shared this vibrant festival with the children.
Happy Holi to all who celebrate!

This week at our centre, we will be celebrating the magic of Dr. Seuss!
Across the rooms, educators created engaging provocations inspired by the children’s favourite stories, including Red Fish, Blue Fish, One Fish, Two Fish and The Lorax, just to name a few. The children loved exploring the colourful characters, listening to the stories, and even “reading” along themselves. Adding to the fun, our educators came dressed as their favourite Dr. Seuss characters, bringing even more colour and imagination into the rooms.
The children had a fantastic time listening to the stories, exploring the setups, and diving into the playful spirit of Seuss week.

Today our centre conducted a practice emergency lockdown, an important part of keeping our community safe and prepared.
After the rehearsal, our educators gathered with the children for a calm and supportive debriefing session. These conversations are a vital step in helping young children process what happened, ask questions, and share their own understanding in a way that feels safe and empowering.
During the debrief, we recorded the children’s voices and reflections; their thoughts showed curiosity, awareness, and a growing sense of responsibility. Taking time to listen to children after safety drills helps them build confidence, strengthens their emotional wellbeing, and ensures they feel included in understanding the world around them.
We’re proud of how thoughtfully our children engaged today, and we remain committed to creating a learning environment where safety, communication, and children’s voices are always valued.

Happy International Mother Language Day!
Today, we celebrated the beauty of linguistic and cultural diversity with our children.
International Mother Language Day, observed every year on February 21st, reminds us of the importance of preserving and appreciating all languages. To bring this message to life, we introduced activities that helped our children explore the many languages spoken around the world.
Our wonderful multilingual staff shared simple words in their mother tongues, showing the children just how exciting it can be to learn and understand different languages. It was a joyful way to spark curiosity and celebrate the uniqueness of every culture.
We also provided “people puppets” representing individuals from across the country, giving children the chance to explore cultural identities, traditions, and stories through play. This hands‑on experience encouraged them to embrace diversity and develop a deeper sense of belonging in our multicultural community.
Celebrating languages means celebrating people — and today, our children did just that.

✨ Kindness Day in Our Classroom ✨
We celebrated Kindness Day in our Kinder room, and our room was filled with thoughtful conversations, big ideas, and even bigger hearts.
During group time, we explored what kindness really means. With the help of visual examples, the children shared their own interpretations, “helping a friend,” “sharing toys,” and “using nice words.”
We then read two books, 'Good Choices' and 'Sharing', stories that helped us think about how our actions can affect others. As we read, the children eagerly pointed out examples of kind and unkind behaviors, showing just how much they are learning about empathy and responsibility.
To express their understanding, the children created drawings of themselves being kind by helping friends, sharing, giving hugs, and offering kind words. Their artwork beautifully reflected the caring community we are building together.
Kindness Day gave us a meaningful opportunity to reinforce positive social behaviors and strengthen our classroom community. We will continue to model and encourage kind choices every day as we support the children’s social and emotional growth.
Here is to kindness—today and always. 💛

Welcome Bindi Bindi !!!
Our children have been proudly engaging in the Wandana Program – a meaningful and authentic way of learning about First Nations cultures, perspectives, and histories.
As part of this beautiful program, our centre received a range of thoughtful resources, along with a monthly activity guide to support deeper learning and connection. This month, one very special resource captured the children’s hearts – an Aboriginal doll.
Our activity invited the children to choose a name for her from a provided list. Educators facilitated rich conversations about the names, their meanings, and the importance of identity and culture. After thoughtful discussion and collaboration, the children collectively chose the name Bindi Bindi, which means "little girl" or "butterfly," particularly within the Noongar language of Western Australia.
The name reflects transformation, beauty, and growth – values that resonate strongly within our learning community. We are so proud of the respect, curiosity, and enthusiasm the children have shown as they continue to learn about and celebrate First Nations cultures through the Wandana Program.
We look forward to continuing this journey together.

Learning comparison helps children to develop their cognitive skills and helps them identifythe structural similarities and differences of everyday objects. As part of this learning, children were engaged in an activity where they identified objects as big or small based on different aspects such as length, height, size etc. The children also extended their learning by comparing different pictures and circling big or small based on what they were asked to identify.
