Happy Father’s Day to all our incredible dads, grandfathers, and father figures!

Today, our service was filled with so much love, warmth, and giant smiles as we celebrated the special people who mean the world to our little ones.

From the moment our families walked in, the room was buzzing with excitement. Beautiful decorations, delicious treats, hands-on activities, precious keepsakes and photo booth magic to capture smiles, hugs, and silly poses made the day even more special.

The absolute joy on our children's and families faces reminded us just how precious these simple, connected moments are.

To all of our dads, granddads, uncles, and father figures: thank you for joining us today, and thank you for the love, encouragement, and strength you give our children every single day. You are their guiding lights, their ultimate playmates, and their first heroes.

Letter of the Week – K 🌟

Our Kinder children have been busy exploring the Letter K through a fun and engaging hands-on cooking experience!

To bring their learning to life, the educators organised a kebab-making activity, where the children selected from a variety of healthy ingredients to create their own delicious kebabs. They thoroughly enjoyed making their own lunch and were incredibly proud of what they had created.

This experience supported children's literacy development by reinforcing the letter K through meaningful, real-life learning. It also encouraged decision-making, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, independence, and healthy eating habits. By choosing and assembling their own ingredients, the children developed confidence, creativity, and a sense of achievement while strengthening their communication and social skills as they worked alongside their peers.

What a wonderful way to make learning fun, memorable, and delicious!

Naidoc Week 2026 -

Welcome to Country is a very popular book and regular read in our kinder classrooms, Aunty Joy Murphy wrote the picture book, illustrated by Lisa Kennedy. The book explains what a Welcome to Country means and celebrates the connection between Aboriginal people, Country and community.

Keeping up with the theme of NAIDOC week this year our kinder 2 children along with their teachers took the opportunity to learn more about the author Aunty Joy and her book.

Children read the story aloud and also listened to a read-aloud version on screen. after listening to the story, the children were encouraged to share what they remembered, supporting their ability to express ideas, recall information, and most importantly, developed their awareness and appreciation of the aboriginal culture and connection to the country.

We’re so grateful to the educators and families at Milestones Early Learning Tarneit for their generous donation of toiletries in support of families doing it tough in our community.

These everyday essentials make a real difference, helping ensure children have what they need for comfort, health and dignity at home. It’s wonderful to see a childcare community come together to support other families in such a practical and thoughtful way.

Celebrating Mothers, Raising Hope ♥️

On Friday, our centre was filled with love, laughter, and beautiful moments as we celebrated all the incredible mums and mother figures in our children’s lives at our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea.

From delicious treats and heartwarming activities to fun-filled games shared between children and their special loved ones, every smile reminded us how precious these moments truly are. The joy on the children’s faces as they created memories with their mums was simply priceless.

This year’s celebration was made even more meaningful as we came together to support a cause close to many hearts — raising funds and awareness for breast cancer. Our centre glowed in pink as families united in kindness, love, and hope for those affected by breast cancer.

A special highlight of the afternoon was our beautiful photo setup, where families captured precious memories to cherish for years to come. Moments like these remind us that the greatest gift we can give is time, love, and togetherness.

Thank you to all the wonderful families who joined us, donated, participated, and helped make this event so special. Your support, generosity, and presence created a truly magical afternoon.

To all mums, grandmothers, aunties, carers, and mother figures — today we celebrate YOU and the endless love you give every single day.

Let's learn about each other !!

Creating inclusive, child-safe environments means recognising and valuing these differences.We respect children’s various cultural backgrounds and work in partnership with families, children and try to build a place where everyone is understood, included, and safe.One of the many ways we do this is by including various cultural celebrations in our day to day experiences.
By reflecting on their own experiences, learning from families, and including children’s cultures in everyday experiences and practices, not only do teachers share knowledge and awareness among children but also help create environments where inclusion and safety is experienced by all .

'Happy Holi"

Holi brought a splash of colour to our centre today.

The children and educators arrived dressed in bright, joyful outfits. Our educators guided the children through colour‑themed experiences that encouraged creativity, curiosity, and cultural appreciation.

It was a beautiful day of learning, laughter, and togetherness as we shared this vibrant festival with the children.

This week at our centre, we will be celebrating the magic of Dr. Seuss!
Across the rooms, educators created engaging provocations inspired by the children’s favourite stories, including Red Fish, Blue Fish, One Fish, Two Fish and The Lorax, just to name a few. The children loved exploring the colourful characters, listening to the stories, and even “reading” along themselves. Adding to the fun, our educators came dressed as their favourite Dr. Seuss characters, bringing even more colour and imagination into the rooms.
The children had a fantastic time listening to the stories, exploring the setups, and diving into the playful spirit of Seuss week.
