Here’s a fun flashback to last week’s learning – our little learners hopped on the balance beam and turned it into a train, traveling through their creative adventures with the guidance of our wonderful educators. Play like this sparks imagination, balance, and teamwork! 💛

🧱 Building Skills, One Block at a Time 🧱

Our little learners love exploring with blocks! From stacking towers to creating imaginative structures, block play encourages problem-solving, hand-eye coordination, and teamwork.

Watching children collaborate, experiment, and celebrate their creations reminds us how much fun learning through play can be. 💛

Today our team completed their First Aid and CPR refresher training.
In childcare, being prepared is essential. These regular updates ensure our educators stay confident and up to date with the skills needed to respond quickly and safely in an emergency.
We’re proud of our team for always prioritising the safety and wellbeing of the children in our care.

🌞 Baby Room Outdoor Fun 🌞

Our babies have been enjoying every moment of outdoor play! From climbing on soft structures to exploring the sandpit, they’re developing coordination, confidence, and curiosity with every adventure.

They also love storytime with our educators, then playing alongside their friends, sharing smiles, and discovering the joy of learning together. 💛

Every day is full of exploration, connection, and fun in the Baby Room!

Children learn in so many different ways. 🌿

Today our Purple Room children became little hunters and gatherers, searching for treasures around the yard. From tiny leaves to interesting sticks and hidden natural surprises, every discovery sparked curiosity and excitement.

The concentration on their faces said it all — focused, determined, and completely engaged in their learning through play. 💜

✏️ Building Strong Foundations for Writing 🎨

Before children learn to write letters and words, they first develop important pre-writing skills through play and creativity. Activities like painting, drawing, and pasting help strengthen the small muscles in their hands and fingers, improve hand-eye coordination, and encourage control of writing tools.

Through these experiences, children explore lines, shapes, patterns, and marks — all of which are early steps toward writing. While they paint with brushes, draw with crayons, or paste different materials, they are learning how to hold tools, control movements, and express their ideas.

These playful learning moments support:

Every scribble, stroke, and collage is an important step in a child’s journey toward becoming a confident writer.

Children across the centre have been exploring culture and learning about the special celebrations of Ramadan 🌙✨

We have been deepening children’s understanding of diversity, inclusion, and belonging within our local community.

Through stories, discussions, creative experiences, and shared conversations, children have been learning about the meaning of Ramadan, how families celebrate, and why this time is important for many people in our community. These experiences support:

🌏 Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world – building respect for diversity and developing awareness of cultural traditions.
🤝 Outcome 1: Children develop a strong sense of identity – learning to appreciate similarities and differences between themselves and others.

From 5 January 2026, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) activity test has changed.
All CCS-eligible families can now access 3 days of subsidised child care per week — guaranteed 🙌

This update, known as the 3 Day Guarantee, makes quality early learning more accessible for every family.
