TGS Week 4
========
The time has come... Project Hail Gorg launches in a mere matter of days. Those of you brave souls going on this mission will go further and see things that no human has ever seen before. Those staying on Earth will have to hold out hope that you are able to accomplish your mission and save tabletop gaming forever.

We are still taking new recruits for this dangerous mission. If you are ready to take on this task then read the mission briefing later in this announcement and sign up through the highly classified signup form. To help pass the time on the way to your destination there will be fun games and activities :)

Good luck everyone! And if you end up in a buddy movie type situation with a strange alien then I assure you that was all part of the plan.

The time has come once again for the most-anticipated, most-beloved event in the TGS lineup: TGS Week!

TGS Week includes the weekly D&D and board games that you all know and love, as well as so much more! This semester you can expect Blood on the Clocktower, non-D&D TTRPGs, a board game tournament, an auction of some of our less-played games, and of course trivia to close it off! On top of that, our collection of board games will be available all day on Saturday, so if that's all you want then good news!

Additional info is in the signup form below, as well as the schedule for the whole week! If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask in our discord or through our socials!

Last week, I gave you some additional info on our Thursday and Friday special events. This week I'll tell you about our two Saturday events!

Blood on the Clocktower and Auction (Saturday Morning and Afternoon)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game where every player is given a unique role and must help (or hinder!) the town in finding the murderous demon. Will you find an execute the demon before it's too late, or will they and their minions take over? We will be running multiple games accommodating all skill levels, so even if you've never played feel free to come along.

This will be followed by an auction of some of our less-played board games in our collection. If you're interested in snagging a game for your own home collection then make sure to come along! The games we will be auctioning off are:

- Scythe
- Calico
- Welcome To...
- Wits & Wagers
- Parks
- Red Flags
- One Night Ultimate Werewolf (plus some of the expansions)

Trivia (Saturday Evening)
----------------------------
The time has come to prove that you are the most knowledgeable about highly specific topics that usually aren't relevant! TGS week will be closing with Trivia at The Queensberry Hotel, and we encourage you all to come! If you dare..... There will be prizes up for grabs, and food for you to keep your mind sharp.

To secure a spot in a game, please make sure that you arrive at room G02 in Market Hall before 2pm, as any later will mean that games will likely have started before you arrive. Our adventurers are still at level 10.

If you're a long-time adventurer and have enough gold to trade for an even larger amount of copper, consider spending it in the magic-item-market channel in our discord. Please stop pressing the button by the door, it's not a doorbell it's a trapdoor trigger.

πŸ‘‘ Weekly Board Games πŸ‘‘
---------------------------------

As always, weekly board games will be running this Friday in the Science Gallery 12-5 (though we will begin packing up early for TGS week). No matter what kind of game you prefer, or how knowledgeable you are, we have the game (and people!) for you.

TGS Week 3
========
By now you may have heard the news... board game scientists have discovered a line between all board games and Venus - in this line a substance has been discovered called gamephage that is slowly dimming humanity's connection to tabletop gaming. At this rate, we won't be able to play game at all in 30 years.

One system out there seems to not be losing their connection to tabletop gaming, but from here we don't know why. Our only option is to send a crew of our most elite board gamers to this system to figure out why this is happening. I'm sorry, but this means all of you. This will not be a return mission.

Our only hope for humanity... is Project Hail Gorg.

If you've ever wanted to play a TTRPG outside of D&D (or you're just a fan of other TTRPGs!) then this is the evening for you! Come along to try out some RPGs that don't conform to what you may be used to in both setting, style and gameplay. You might not even have to use a d20! TGS Week 2
========
It has come to my attention recently through my secret network of spies and informants that instead of me writing these announcement myself, I'm supposed to be dictating to Gorg while they manifest my words onto the page. Suffice to say I was not informed of this when I partook in the ritual that put me in this position.

When I asked Gorg about this they feigned (I think? It's hard to tell with them sometimes) ignorance and told me that this is the way that it has always been done... They did say though that if I was able to beat them in a board game-based trial then they would try doing things this new way. All I had to do was beat them in one game of their choosing.

I will be continuing to type these myself.

TGS Week 1
========
Yesterday I stumbled upon a group of termites in the PR Office. Many would see this as a problem but I saw this as an opportunity - these would be the first followers for my new cult to praise the good name of tabletop gaming.

Once we have established ourselves and grown in strength, I will lead our crusades against the Bishops of the Old Hobbies - Reading, Sports, Music and Crafts. It is then that Tabletop Gaming, The Hobby That Waits Below, will be free to take its rightful place as the one true hobby.

On an unrelated note, all the wooden objects and supports in the office have been collapsing lately.

TGS Week 0
========
Gorg has been introducing me to a TTRPG that they invented lately. The first major difference I noticed from ones I'd tried before was that instead of the dice being objects for you to roll, they're extraplanar beings that are your fellow players.

Despite this initial shock, I've been having a really great time. Gorg had made a character for me to play when I started, which turned out to just be me but ported into a character in the game. It seemed pretty accurate, but some of the skills they had assigned me were a little hurtful... (I mean a negative social stat, really?)

I have noticed that some aspects of the game appear to be manifesting in my real life. I keep pulling gold coins out of my pockets when I don't remember putting them in there, which is nice, but I also keep having to dip into my stash of healing potions as mysterious wounds appear on me. Oh well, I guess that's just immersive gameplay!

I think we're going to be fighting a dragon today! I really hope that goes w

TGS Week (-1)
=========
After months of searching and deciphering ancient scrolls and manuscripts, I finally descend the steps into the ancient stone temple... It is said that within these walls is the true source of tabletop gaming, the all-power that creates and maintains all board games, TTRPGs and other various physical games.

There are several traps in the hallway inside, but luckily thanks to my really high wisdom and dexterity I am able to spot and disarm them all. Several puzzle rooms stand between me and the prize, tasking me with beating ancient spirits in various board games. Through these trials I persist and reach the final room.

There, in a glowing pillar of light hovers the source. From what I can make out it's a box, roughly the size and shape of a standard board game box. I hold out my arms, and the object descends towards me. I look down and read the text on the box.
