It’s hard to find a better example than this when it comes to building community and saving lives through emergency response. A jam packed paediatric and first aid session promoted and hosted by the inspirational Chabad Glen Eira.

Celebrating the generous donation of an AED by Adam and Rae, a community came together to learn how to confidently and competently respond to medical emergencies.

100% of cardiac arrest patients need CPR to survive: there is no better return on investment than knowing how to respond.

🎉 Welcome, Ava! 💚

We are incredibly proud to welcome Ava as the very first member of the CFRA Cadet Program!

As a CFRA Cadet, Ava will support our First Responders at community events while helping promote community emergency response through CPR and first aid courses, demonstrations and public education.

Our cadets receive the same high-quality training as our CFRA Responders, including Advanced First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to make a real difference when it matters most.

Beyond learning lifesaving skills, the program provides invaluable experience in emergency response, opportunities to engage with rich and diverse communities, and the chance to be part of a close-knit team dedicated to keeping people safe.

If you’re passionate about making a difference and would like to join our volunteer CFRA Cadet Program, we’d love to hear from you!

🎉 700 First Aid Standby Events... and Counting! 🚑

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone—700 community first aid standby events delivered by the Community First Responders Australia team over the past two years.

Behind every event is a commitment to keeping communities safe. Whether supporting local sporting clubs, cultural festivals, interschool sports, corporate events or major public gatherings, our dedicated First Responders have been there to provide timely, professional care when it matters most.

Proudly diverse in background, age, gender, life and professional experience - from paramedicine to nursing, medicine to policing, physio to engineering - the team is focused on harnessing their skills to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.

This milestone isn’t just about a number. It’s about thousands of people able to enjoy their events with confidence, knowing that experienced responders are on hand if needed. It’s about injuries treated, medical emergencies managed, lives impacted, and communities made safer.

As we celebrate 700 events, we remain focused on our mission to enhance community resilience and save lives through emergency response.

Thank you to every organisation that has trusted and supported CFRA. Thank you to the team at the Department of Health for their guidance over the past couple of years, from our initial application through to our progression to an Intermediate First Aid Provider.

💚 We look forward to being there for the next 700. Together, we’re building safer communities. 💚
