Exercise is any physical activity, mostly unstructured with the goal to be healthy.
You know the type- go to the gym and wander around doing a bit of this and a bit of that mainly just to feel the buzz or attend any classes that make you sweat.
The health and fitness world tells you to do as much as possible of this kind of exercise if you want to lose weight.
I fell into this trap and thought the more exercise I did, the better it was for my health.
I also believed that I needed to do more and more if I wanted to lose weight.
The problem with this is we tend to burn out because it becomes too much, it’s unsustainable.
I got tired of the amount I was doing and started resenting having to do so much.
When I discovered structured training with the focus on performance, everything changed.
I went from exercising 6 days a week to training 4 times a week and this year- 3 times per week and am feeling stronger and healthier than ever.
Losing fat and gaining muscle takes time and training for this outcome you need structured physical activity that is intended on reaching a specific goal for strength and muscle.
Getting stronger over time with great technique 3 times a week.
I love this simplistic approach-Not overdoing things but being really intentional when I am working out, making it really count.
I’ve taken all the extra fluff out of my routine and it’s been a game changer both physically and mentally.
When your goal shifts to performance, it becomes fun to see what you’re capable of.
Over my 16 years as a trainer and Weightloss coach, I’ve always passed on the new things I’ve learnt and essentially changed things up to provide the latest and best form of training at my studio.
For example, introducing structured workouts/ training over 8 years ago.
This year I have introduced split training in my semi private sessions with the girls .
They are achieving amazing growth and strength
You can hear just how hard Yifat is working in the video 😂😉
So if you want to lose fat and build muscle and look like you train, then exercise won’t cut it.
But training correctly will.
