Say ¡Hola! to PAU from Argentina 🇦🇷, the most recent addition to our teaching team at El Patio.

Ever since she started learning English as a child, Pau has known she was destined to work with - and between - languages! Find out what Pau loves about teaching in Australia below and head over to our blog at elpatiospanish.com.au/blog to keep on reading, including Pau's playlist for practising Spanish with music!

❓ What is a loveable aspect of teaching Spanish in Australia?
One aspect I love of teaching Spanish in Australia is how interested students are in the cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries. We Argentinians particularly love to brag about our amazing country, so I really enjoy the questions, reactions, and curiosity about our vocabulary, traditions, food, music, and so much more.

I truly appreciate people who make the time to learn a language alongside all the responsibilities of adult life nowadays, so for me, a language classroom is always an enjoyable and welcoming place to be.

🎶 👍 EL PATIO RECOMMENDS - 5 Spanish-language artists to add to your playlist right now

If you want to feel closer to Hispanic culture, music is a great place to start! The bonus? It's also a simple and enjoyable way to pick up new vocabulary, rhythms and real-life expressions.

Here are five artists we have on repeat right now!

🇪🇸 Rosalía (Spain)
Rosalía fuses traditional flamenco with experimental pop, electronic and urban influences to create something completely unique. Her music feels theatrical, expressive and deeply connected to Spanish heritage.

🇵🇷 Rauw Alejandro (Puerto Rico)
Known for his smooth vocals and futuristic sound, Rauw Alejandro blends reggaeton with R&B, electronic and dance influences. Sleek and rhythmic, it's the kind of music that naturally pulls you onto the dance floor.

🇨🇴 Karol G (Colombia)
The darling of Coachella 2026, Karol G delivers infectious reggaeton and Latin pop anthems that are made for singing at full volume! Her music captures the spirit of modern Latin culture – bold, joyful and unapologetically fun with hooks that stay with you long after the song ends.

🇵🇷 Bad Bunny
If you've been following along with our socials, you'll know we're all Bad Bunny fanatics here at El Patio! Blending reggaeton, trap and pure energy...it's the kind of music that makes you want to dance, no matter where you are + you'll pick up some fun Puerto Rican slang along the way!

🇨🇴 Feid(Colombia)
Feid brings a laid-back, melodic take on reggaeton that feels effortlessly cool. Known for a signature green aesthetic and smooth, hypnotic beats, his music blends romantic lyrics with late-night, cruisy vibes. The kind of tracks that feel just as at home on a summer drive as they do on the dance floor.
