Today we celebrated all the hard work our Educators do day in and day out. We are so appreciative of everything they do for the children, families and each other!

We hope they had the best day celebrating, we sure enjoyed spoiling them, even our children got involved with writing appreciative notes and making videos expressing their love for their teachers. 💐

What an incredible week of imagination, creativity and fun! ✨📚

Our amazing educators went above and beyond all week with their Book Week costumes! From planning special themes and coordinating with one another, to matching their room themes and bringing much-loved storybook characters to life 💛

The joy throughout the halls was contagious! Hearing the laughter of our educators and children, seeing their excitement as they discovered each new costume. 🥰📖

A HUGE thank you to our incredible educators for making this week so memorable for our children. You truly went above and beyond! 👏🏼💫

Experimenting 🧪

Our Discoverers children did some experimenting today, they had flour, salt and corn flour. Mixed with food colouring powder, glitter and sequins. 🎨
We let the children explore, mix and stir as much as they wanted. A big mess was made but happy giggles and smiles what worth the mess. 😁

🐸🔬🧪SCIENCE WEEK🧪🔬🐸

For Science Week, the Creator’s room explored the life cycle of a frog, inspired by a child’s excitement after discovering two frogs in her garden pond at home.

On Monday, we began our journey by creating our own frog eggs using chia seeds. The children observed the dry seeds changing into slippery, squishy texture as they added water and stirred.

By Tuesday, our pond had transformed! The children discovered tiny, translucent tadpoles swimming through the water.

On Wednesday, froglets appeared with arms and legs beginning to grow while their long tails were still visible. Puzzles, books and conversations supported the children to revisit the different stages and build on their understanding of the frog’s life cycle.

By Thursday, our froglets had developed into frogs! To create a rich multi-sensory experience, we added the sounds of frogs to our pond using a hidden speaker. The children listened carefully, responding with excitement as they searched for where the sounds were coming from.

Throughout the week, the children were also invited to explore frogs creatively through watercolour painting, using beautiful colours and their own ideas to represent the frogs they had been learning about.

Through this experience, the children developed their curiosity and scientific thinking as they observed change over time, made predictions, revisited previous experiences and communicated their ideas. The combination of sensory materials, stories, puzzles, sounds and creative expression helped make the frog life cycle meaningful, engaging and memorable.

Science Week! 🔬

This week across the centre the rooms are participating in science week.
They are all doing different science activities from colours, mixing different materials to make sensory play, Magnets and exploring with magnify glasses. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds in each room. 🧪🧬

Jeans for Genes Day 👖

It was so great to see so many children and educators wearing Jeans to support Jeans for Genes Day. 🧬

In our Discoverers room the children were able to decorate a pair of Jeans, they worked together to paint, glue and stick items on the Jeans to make them all colourful! 🎨

Last week our team had a beautiful meeting together! 👏

We started with a room leaders meeting to discuss how we can make improvements to our programs- this was so informative to have everyone together to find the right balance for our centre.🤔

Then we met with the whole team to discuss the benefits or risky play and to further meet in our rooms to be able to collaborate on what each room needs to work on together to create the best program! We don’t get this time to really sit and discuss so everyone got the most out of this opportunity. 🌟
