โค๏ธ A Sea of Hearts at Birches. โค๏ธ
Our entrance has been transformed into a beautiful Sea of Hearts, with each heart uniquely created by the children, families, and educators in our community.
The Sea of Hearts movement is a powerful symbol of kindness, inclusion, respect, and belonging. Together, these hearts represent the diverse voices, stories, and connections that make our community so special.
As you walk past this display, we invite you to take a moment to reflect on the importance of compassion, understanding, and standing together. Every heart tells a story, and together they create a powerful reminder that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and loved.

A huge thank you to our wonderful families and community for supporting our Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser this past Friday! โ๐
Together, we raised an amazing $177 for the Cancer Council, helping to support those impacted by cancer and fund vital research and services.
We are so grateful to everyone who donated, to our Chef Chantelle, for cooking up our delicious treats, and everyone who joined us for our morning tea.
Your generosity and support helped make the event such a success and created a wonderful sense of community within our service.
Thank you for making a difference with us! ๐

World Turtle Day!
Today our children enjoyed a very special visit from our Chef, Chantelleโs turtle! ๐ข
The experience sparked so much curiosity, wonder and excitement as the children carefully observed the turtle moving around the room, noticing its shell, movements and unique features.
Through this hands on experience, the children engaged in meaningful learning opportunities including developing respect and empathy for living creatures and building confidence and communication skills through shared discussions.
The visit also encouraged curiosity about the natural world, supporting early science learning as children asked questions, and explored how to care for animals safely and gently.
Thank you, Chantelle for creating such a memorable and engaging learning experience for our children! ๐

๐ฟ From caterpillar to chrysalis ๐
Another little visitor has arrived!
Our tiny friend is now safely tucked away, beginning the incredible transformation into a butterfly.
Moments like these give children the opportunity to slow down, observe, wonder, and learn about the beauty of nature firsthand. Watching the lifecycle unfold right before our eyes encourages curiosity, patience, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
We canโt wait to see who emerges soon ๐ฆ
