Evelyn Clarke and Craig Bayley founded ECB Training Services in early 2013 in response to the emerging business opportunities around the delivery of training on the INPEX gas project in Darwin in late 2012. The opportunity was in line with our expertise in training and our passion for high quality training outcomes. We understand the effectiveness of training to deliver change in both the lives of individual trainees and workers and ensure quality outcomes for industry. ECB has been providing specialised training and Verification of Competency assessments to Tier 1 contractors across the INPEX Gas project over the last six (6) years. From this base we have expanded our scope and we now deliver accredited training in the Logistics, Mining and Civil Construction sectors. Our inspiration to combine a Labour Hire business with our training services comes from our combined 20 years of experience working in remote locations in the Northern Territory and seeing the lack of quality training in both urban and remote locations. We had heard many stories of indigenous people saying they need training to help get into jobs and this provided us the full understanding of the disparity between what indigenous people faced in remote communities and what our clients demanded within industry. Our experience ensured that ECB developed a service wrapped around our clients’ needs and that we provide opportunities for local workers and also build a well-trained and reliable workforce for our industry clients. ECB’s success and why it is where it is today is because we listen, make an effort to understand our clients’ needs and ensure our quality training is aligned with those needs.
