Reading is more than just learning phonics. While phonics gives children the tools to decode words, true reading growth comes from connecting with stories, responding to literature, sharing ideas and developing a genuine love of books. When children engage deeply with rich literature, they build imagination, empathy, vocabulary and a lifelong passion for reading.
Here our Prep (Foundation) students are creatively responding to the ageless story ‘The Bad Tempered Ladybird’ by Eric Carle
Have you ever tried making a ladybird? 😉

Using fact families is just one step to get students to math fact mastery.
If students know one fact, they can automatically know 3 more.
Fact families help children see the connections between numbers, not just memorise answers. By understanding how addition and subtraction relate to one another, students develop strong number sense, improve their mental maths skills and build confidence as problem solvers.
These early foundations support success in mathematics for years to come.
The pure joy and calm in creating.
Our Visual Arts program gives students the opportunity to explore their creativity through painting, drawing, sculpting or designing.
Art encourages imagination, problem-solving and self-expression, while reminding us that the creative process is just as important as the finished piece.

Building curious minds through STEM.
In our STEM program, students learn by doing. They investigate, experiment, design and test their ideas while discovering how science, technology, engineering and mathematics connect to the world around them.
Every challenge is an opportunity to think creatively, collaborate with others and discover new solutions.
STEM is more than science and technology; it’s about developing the skills students need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
What motivates us?
Watching our students thrive.
Our EAL (English as an Additional Language) students continue to show amazing progress through targeted support, explicit teaching and rich learning opportunities.
We are so proud of the confidence, growth and success they show every day as they strengthen their English language skills.
Behind every engaging lesson, calm classroom and meaningful learning experience is hours of planning, preparation and problem solving.
A curriculum day isn’t a “day off” for teachers — it’s a day to:
• analyse student learning
• prepare quality lessons
• create resources
• meet individual student needs
• collaborate with colleagues
• organise assessments and feedback.
When teachers have time to plan well, students benefit most. Great teaching doesn’t happen by chance — it happens through thoughtful preparation.
Attendance matters. Learning matters.
Every day counts.
Being at school every day helps children build confidence, stay connected and reach their full potential.
In these images our Year 3/4 students are using squeegees and neon coloured paints in Visual Arts classes to create beautiful art works.
